The Murray Hotel has remained a consistent attraction in the heart of downtown Livingston, Montana since it first opened in the summer of 1904. In keeping up with the ever-evolving guest expectations when it comes to hospitality, The Murray has been tastefully renovated down from fifty-two rooms in the building proper with today's vision of the hotel containing twenty-five guest rooms and suites, plus a few offices.
Each accommodation has its own bathroom, modern heating/cooling amenities, and access to the hotel's WiFi network. Suites are more spacious with the majority of them having a separate sitting area for relaxing or entertaining guests and a kitchenette for either sharing a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The Murray holds great pride in its decor which focuses on providing warmth and comfort for those who stay here but still maintains a nod to the timeless heydays of easy-going cowboys in the Wild West and the railroad tourism of the twentieth century, which originally breathed life into the cozy little town of Livingston. There is no standard room look at The Murray; every room has its own style to make each more inviting and memorable for our discerning guests.
A rooftop patio off of the fourth floor offers a wondrous view of the town center and the surrounding mountains where guests are welcome to bring up drinks and commiserate with friends and family. Our Mezzanine also has a small sitting area and coffee bar. Our original, staff operated, 1904 Otis elevator offers a unique historic experience and is available and encouraged for guest use. Two restaurants connect with the grand lobby of the hotel. The superb 2nd Street Bistro provides classy French and Italian cuisine, or guests can enjoy classic American bar fare in Gil's Goods & The Murray Bar along with cocktails, local Montana beer, and you can boogie down with live music which plays every Friday & Saturday night from 9pm- midnight.

PETS: We do welcome your pets at the Murray Hotel, however not all of our rooms are pet friendly. Please notify us if you are travelling with your pet. There is a flat $35 cleaning fee for having pets. Please understand that you are financially liable for any damage done by the pet on hotel premises and a charge of $70 will be placed on your credit card if you have not notified the hotel before or at check-in of any pet(s) with you.
NOISE: Alleycat Rooms 222 and 223 are located in close proximity to The Murray Bar below and are offered at a lower rate because they have the potential of being the noisiest on a particularly lively night. The Murray Bar has live music every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday night. Please note that you may be sacrificing comfort for cost when booking these rooms and any refunds or further discounts will not be granted.
SMOKING: We do not allow smoking in any of our rooms. Please be aware that you will be asked to leave if you smoke in your room. If there is any evidence of smoking or smoking paraphernalia found in the accommodation after you have checked out, we reserve the right to charge you a fee equivalent to the next evening's stay to be posted on your account the day of vacancy.
