  1. Free Cancellation Period: Guests may cancel their reservations without any charges if the cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
  2. Cancellation Fee: For cancellations made between 13 days and 8 days before the scheduled check-in date, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied. This fee will be deducted from the deposit paid at the time of booking, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the guest.
  3. Late Cancellation: If a reservation is canceled within 7 days or less before the scheduled check-in date, the guest will forfeit their entire deposit and receive no refund.
To cancel your reservation, please contact our reservation team directly by phone or email, providing your booking details, including the reservation number and the name under which the reservation was made. Our team will process your cancellation promptly and confirm it with you. We encourage our guests to review their travel plans carefully and notify us as soon as possible if changes are necessary. By doing so, you will help us maintain a high level of service and ensure the availability of rooms for other guests. Any changes to the reservation date will be treated as a cancellation and are subject to the same terms, including applicable fees and forfeiture of the deposit as outlined in our cancellation policy. Terms and Conditions


Welcome to the Historic Park Hotel in Put-in-Bay. These terms and conditions govern your use of our services, and by accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

I. Reservations and Payments

When making a reservation, the full deposit is required at the time of booking. The deposit cannot be changed to cash or another credit card at check-in. The remaining balance is due at check-in. We do not accept checks. If canceled within 14 days of arrival, no charge and deposit refunded. For cancellations made between 13 days and 8 days before the scheduled check-in date, a $25 cancellation fee will be applied. This fee will be deducted from the deposit paid at the time of booking, and the remaining balance will be refunded to the guest. Full charge of the full deposit if canceled within 7 days of arrival, no exceptionsAny changes to the reservation date will be treated as a cancellation and are subject to the same terms, including applicable fees and forfeiture of the deposit as outlined in our cancellation policy. We reserve the right to cancel reservations without notice if full payment is not received by the due date.

Two-Night Minimum: Reservations for Friday and Saturday nights require a two-night minimum stay. This policy helps us maintain a consistent booking schedule and provide the best possible experience for our guests during peak times.

II. Check-in and Check-out

Check-in time is at 3 pm. If paying with a credit card, you must have the card with you. Balances cannot be transferred to different cards. A valid ID and credit card must be on file with your reservation. Check out time is 11 am, and we do not have late check-out. A $50 late check-out fee will be charged for any check-out after 11 am.

Check-In Location: All guests, including those staying at the Bay Club Cottages, must check in at the Park Hotel front desk. Our staff will provide you with the necessary information and directions to your cottage upon check-in. 

Guests must be at least 21 years of age to book a room and check in; individuals under the age of 18 must be accompanied by their legal parent or guardian to check into the hotel.

III. Fees and Charges 

In addition to the room rates, the following fees may be charged under specific circumstances:
    • Cancellation Fees: As stated in Section I, cancellation fees may apply depending on the timing of the cancellation.
    • Smoking and Vaping Fee: A $200 fee will be charged to anyone caught smoking or vaping inside the hotel or cottages.
    • Alcohol Policy Violation Fee: A $200 fee will be charged to anyone caught bringing open alcoholic beverages into the lobby or any areas beyond the 2nd or 3rd floors.
    • Excessive Cleaning Fee: If a room requires more than the standard cleaning due to excessive mess or damage, an additional fee of $150 may be charged.
    • Stolen or Damaged Robe Fee: Guests are responsible for the robes provided during their stay. A fee of $100 will be charged for any stolen or damaged robes.
    • Lost Robe Fee: Guests are responsible for making sure their robe(s) are left in their room upon departure. Any guest that leaves their robe in the bathroom will be charged a $50 lost robe fee.
    • Lost Key Fee: Guests are responsible for returning their room keys to the front desk at check-out. Any lost or stolen keys will result in a $25 lost key fee charged.
    • Late Check-Out Fee: As stated in Section II, a $50 late check-out fee will be charged for any check-out after 11am.
    • Unregistered Guest Fee: Having an unregistered guest in your room will result in a $250 fee. See Section IV.
    • Damage Fee: Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the hotel property during their stay. A fee will be charged to cover the costs of repairing or replacing damaged items. The amount of the fee will depend on the extent of the damage and the costs incurred by the hotel.
    • Taxes: Room rates are subject to applicable taxes and fees, which will be added to the total cost of your stay. Taxes may include local, state, or federal taxes depending on the jurisdiction. The tax rates are subject to change according to the law and are calculated based on the room rate and any additional fees.
Please review these fees carefully to avoid any unexpected charges during your stay.

IV. Room Information

The Park Hotel is a Victorian-style hotel built in the late 1870s. Our rooms have antique dressers and one bed, and each room accommodates up to two guests. The second and third floors are reserved for the exclusive use of our registered guests only. Unregistered guests in the room are a violation of our policy and fire code and will result in a $250 fine per person and/or eviction. This includes children. All guests must register at the front desk at check-in and provide ID. We have a speak-easy "The Red Moon," a front porch, and an outdoor patio and bar area where you can visit and entertain non-registered guests.

V. Amenities

There are no televisions, phones, mini-fridges, or restroom amenities in the rooms. Communal restrooms are provided on each floor with adequate facilities for our guests. The private restrooms have a sink, shower, and toilet and were remodeled in 2020. There are no private bathrooms inside the rooms. We provide robes to our guests.

VI. Noise and Environment

The hotel is located downtown next to the Round House Bar, a popular place for live entertainment. There may be noise inside and outside the hotel, and we do not refund for noise. The rooms are historically preserved rooms, and we do not permit any modification to the rooms, including adding TVs or phones.

VII. Parking and Transportation

Parking is available to our guests, but it is limited and on a first-come, first-serve basis. Weekends are a two-night minimum stay, no exceptions. The hotel is 1 and 1/2 blocks from the Jet Express docks. We recommend not bringing your vehicle as we have golf carts available to rent on site.

VIII. Liability and Responsibility

The Park Hotel is not responsible for lost or stolen items,  left in the room, lobby, and parking lot. We are not responsible for any injuries or damages caused by accidents or negligence.

IX. Accessibility and Special Needs

Please note that the Park Hotel is not handicap accessible. There are no elevators, and all rooms are located on the second and third floors.

X. Use of Personal Information

We collect and use your personal information to provide you with our services and to comply with legal obligations. By using our services, you consent to our collection and use of your personal information.

XI. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising between you and Park Hotel in Put-in-Bay shall be resolved through a process of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) before resorting to legal action. The ADR process will be governed by the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and the arbitration will take place in the state of Ohio.

XII. Limitation of Liability

Park Hotel in Put-in-Bay will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury arising out of or in connection with your use of our services, including but not limited to the use of any equipment or facilities on our premises. In no event shall our liability exceed the total amount paid by you to us for the services provided.

XIII. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Park Hotel in Put-in-Bay, its affiliates, employees and agents, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses, including reasonable attorney's fees, arising out of your use of our services, or any violation of these terms and conditions.

XIV. Waiver

If we fail to enforce any provision of these terms and conditions, it shall not constitute a waiver of such provision, or of our right to enforce such provision.

XV. Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

XVI. Pets and Service Animals

Park Hotel maintains a no-pet policy in order to ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests. However, we do make an exception for service animals, as required by law. Guests with service animals must notify the hotel in advance, and the service animal must be properly trained, well-behaved, and under the owner's control at all times. Proof of service animal status may be requested in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

XVII. Bay Club Cottages

Housekeeping: Bay Club Cottages do not include daily cleaning services. However, we will take care of trash removal and fish disposal on a daily basis to ensure the cleanliness and comfort of your stay.

Linens and Towels: We provide all linens and towels for guests staying at the Bay Club Cottages.

Each cottage accommodates up to six guests. Unregistered guests in the cottage are a violation of our policy and fire code and will result in a $250 fine per person and/or eviction. This includes children. 

XVIII. Smoking and Vaping Policy

Park Hotel and Bay Club Cottages are committed to providing a smoke-free environment for the comfort and safety of all of our guests. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the hotel rooms, cottages, and all enclosed common areas. Due to the historic nature of our hotel, smoking and vaping also pose a significant fire hazard, and we take this policy very seriously.

1.Smoking and Vaping Fee: A $200 fee will be charged to guests found smoking or vaping inside the hotel rooms or cottages.

2. Eviction: In addition to the fee, the hotel reserves the right to evict guests who violate the smoking and vaping policy without any refund for the remaining nights of their reservation.

XVIV. Alcohol Policy

Guests are permitted to bring alcohol into the hotel premises; however, in compliance with our liquor license regulations and to maintain a pleasant environment for all guests, please note the following rules:

1. Alcohol Restriction: Open alcoholic beverages, including beer, wine, liquor, wine coolers, seltzers, etc., are strictly prohibited in all public areas of the hotel, including the lobby. They are not allowed to leave the 2nd and 3rd floors.

2. Enforcement: Failure to comply with this policy may result in a $200 fine and possible eviction from the premises.

XVV. Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions, along with any other policies or agreements referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and Park Hotel in Put-in-Bay and supersede all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements between the parties, whether oral or written.
