We are an iconic family owned business in the heart of Encinitas. We treat all guests like family and would like to ensure an amazing stay for those that book here. Just a short stroll away from Moonlight Beach, this motel is the closest in Encinitas to the ocean. Most of our rooms have ocean views and some are equipped with full kitchens. Moonlight Beach Motel is a completely NON-SMOKING AND PET FREE property. Smoking of any kind (cigarettes, vaping, marijuana) or having a pet on Motel property will result in a per day $250 penalty.(This includes common areas, patios, balconies and rooms.).

*We are unable to accept requests for specific room numbers and/or locations.
All reservations are on a first come first served basis.
All reservations require a valid credit card with the registered guest name printed.
Payment in full is required at check-in. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and cash (A credit card is still required for cash payment).
A one time $250 hold will be placed for all check-ins. This is in addition to room and tax.
Due to limited parking, each room is provided one parking space. If you have multiple vehicles there is additional street parking available.
Moonlight Beach Motel is not responsible for any theft of personal belongings within a guests' room or anywhere else on Motel property.
Moonlight Beach Motel reserves the right to enter your room at any time to conduct welfare checks.
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs.
