At Fat Lips, first & foremost, we're surfers too. As such, we’ve build our accommodations specifically with surfers in mind. We’re a short walk from Cloud 9, Quiksilver, Jacking Horse, and the boats going to Stimpy’s and Rock Island. The other surf spots in General Luna are just a few minutes drive away. We can give you all the advice and tips you need for enjoying your surf holiday in Siargao. Ask us about the conditions, where to surf, or even for tips on how to improve your surfing. Of course if you're not a surfer don't worry, we'll still accept you! This beautiful accommodation makes for the perfect 'home base' close to all the action in Siargao but away from the noise and messiness of Tourism Road.
In addition to this we rent surfboards or motorbikes and can arrange surf lessons for any skill level. The idea of Fat Lips Surf Lodge was born from so many people coming into Fat Lips asking for help & advice about the surf. We realized that there aren’t many accommodations specializing in surf in Siargao, and that’s crazy! So book your stay at Fat Lips and we’ll be sure to put you in the best spots at the best times!
As a guest of Fat Lips Surf Lodge you'll automatically be entitled to a 10% discount on surfboard rentals, motorbike rentals, and any products in Fat Lips Surfshop. Just show your room key at time of purchase. If you'd like us to reserve you a motorbike please inform us in advance and we'll have it waiting for you at the property. However, we cannot reserve surfboards, but with 100+ rental boards you'll always find something good to use at Fat Lips.

Some important notes!
* This is NOT a party hotel / hostel. You're welcome to have drinks in your room and we encourage you to go out and explore Siargao's nightlife. However, please keep the noise to a minimum during the night and don't bring the party to your room!
* Children area allowed! Although you won't be able to add children in the booking engine we allow 1x child up to 9 years old who will sleep in their parents bed to stay for free. For children 10 years and over OR who require a separate cot there will be a 500php per day surcharge. Please inform us in advance if you wish to bring children.
* We have two very lovely and harmless and quiet dogs on the property. But if dogs are really not your thing then you may want to consider booking elsewhere.
* We collect full payment at time of booking in order to confirm a reservation but don't worry, you payment is 100% refundable if cancelled at least 3 days before arriving.

Payment policy
Your online booking payment / deposit can be made through PayPal, bank transfer to our Filipiino bank account, or by Gcash.
Full payment is required when you arrive at the property and you may settle this through cash, Paypal, bank transfer, or Gcash.
Reservation Policy
Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned.The hotel has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit within 24 hours of booking. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after canceling your booking.
Check-in / Check-out / Business Hours
Check-in at Fat Lips Surf Lodge:
You can check-in any time from 2pm local time. Room keys will be provided by our in-house staff. Please note that the main entrance to our neighborhood is on Bones Lane across from Catagnan BBQ. Arrangements for checking-out will be made at the same time. The balance of the full room rental amount is payable on arrival at check-in time. Please note that check-in cannot be completed until full payment has been received and approved. A room key is provided at check-in time after the full rental amount has been settled. The cost of any keys needing replacement will be charged to the customer. During the check-in process, our receptionist will provide you with any information which may be required during your stay such as the location of near-by shops, good places where you can eat, sights you may like to see, places to go at night, etc. Always ask our receptionist for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient.
Check-out at Fat Lips Surf Lodge:
You can check-out any time up until 12PM local time. Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are.
At check-out time please leave the keys with one of the cleaners or maintenance staff. Please note that a more detailed inspection of the room/apartment is usually made after the check-out time and we reserve the right to make charges for any damages or breakages found before the room/apartment is occupied again.
Business Hours:
The property is open 24 hours a day. A manager or guest relations staff will be available to answer your questions or help where you need anytime between 8AM and 11PM unless he / she has gone surfing. We have cleaners & maintenance staff on duty everyday from 7am to 4pm.
Cancellation Policy
Please carefully read our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make any exceptions to this. Our receptionists are instructed to follow this policy and rules. So to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:
- If the guest cancels more than 3 days in advance, the total amount of the deposit will be refunded.
- If the guest cancels less than 3 days in advance, the payment / down payment is non-refundable.
- If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent 24 hours after the cancellation occurs are non-refundable.
- In case of a no-show, the total price of the deposit will be charged and is non- refundable.
- There is only one way in which we can acknowledge cancellation of the guest’s reservation; the guest must send a cancellation request stating the reservation number via email to the following address: info@fatlipssurfshop.com
- All cancellations are confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been canceled.
In our rooms smoking is not allowed. You may smoke on your balcony or terrace with the ashtray provided. You will be asked to sign a document that you agree to a 2500php fine if any evidence of smoking is found in the room. Please note that we comply with the local health and safety guidelines and recommendations provided by the EEC on smoking in public places. Please Note: Immediate termination of the rental agreement is possible if:
- More guests stay in the property than agreed
- Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night
- Sub-letting the property you have rented (or giving it to other people). The number of people residing in the apartment should be the same as confirmed in the booking. Accommodation for additional guests may be requested
A 1000php charge for each additional guest per night will be charged. We reserve the right to cancel any reservation, without refund, if an unconfirmed number of people stay overnight in the apartment - Fat Lips Surf Lodge does not allow any pets in the apartments. A 2500php fine will be claimed if pets will be accommodated in the apartments
- Apartments are located in a residential building in Barangay Catagnan, General Luna. All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbors and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 22:00 and 08:00.
- Fat Lips Surf Co. Inc. is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal things at the resort premises.
During your stay, the apartment and all equipment and furniture should be treated with care and kept in order. Immediate notification to Fat Lips Surf Lodge staff will be expected of any damages or breakages in the apartment.You (The Tenant) is financially responsible for any damage to the apartment. This includes losses caused by you (The Tenant) or a third party negligent actions and behavior. A summary check will be made of the apartment check-out time. However, a more detailed review of the condition of the apartment and all equipment and facilities will be made soon after check-out and before another guest occupies the apartment. The Tenant is responsible for any damages or breakages found that are over and above normal wear and tear and usage. In this case, a detailed statement of damage along with an invoice for the repair or replacement cost will be sent by email immediately. Any costs will be paid for immediately if this is still possible. Any costs will be claimed by return if they are greater than the deposit or where the deposit has already been returned. Please note, immediate notification after check-out of any damages to, breakages in or issues with the apartment is expected.
Fat Lips Surf Co. Inc. can then take any necessary action to resolve any issues and make sure all the equipment and facilities are working and provided as expected. The costs of damages or cleaning beyond what would be expected after responsible usage of the apartment will be charged to the guest. Please remember the rooms are fully non-smoking! At the check-in time, you will be asked to sign a document that you agree to a 2500php fine if traces of smoking are found in the apartment.
Standard Booking Price
The Standard Booking price includes the following:
- All taxes
- Utilities (water, gas and electricity)
- Internet and Cable TV usage
- Towels, bed linen and hairdryer
- Cleaning before and after your stay
- All apartment amenities and facilities as mentioned on our website pages and in our correspondence
Extending Your Stay
After you have booked your stay with us, you can extend your stay (depending on availability) by simply letting us know before you arrive.
If you are already staying with us and you would like to stay longer, please let us know at least 24 hours before your check- out date. We will do our best to accommodate your new plans and this can include relocating you to a similar apartment should this be necessary.
Children Policy
Children are allowed to stay at the property. Children who will sleep in the same bed as the parents (max 9 years old) will stay for free. For children (10yrs and older) an extra cot will be added at 500php per day.
Pet Policy
At this time pets are not allowed at the property sorry. If you have a special request in this regard you may email us and we'll see if we can help you or not.
Parking Policy.
Fat Lips Surf Lodge provides free parking on-site for motorbikes. Cars will need to park on the main road about 100m from the property as they cannot fit down our small lane.
Minimum Age Policy
All guests must be 18 years or older to confirm guest room accommodations at Fat Lips Surf Lodge. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification.
Room Cleaning Policy
Room refreshes will not be offered during stays. Should you need fresh towels or linen, please notify one of our staff and they will get your fresh linens / towels. If you will to have your room cleaned please notify our staff.
Guest Safety Policy
As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. This includes the taking of or delivery of messages or indirect forwarding of phone calls. It is the responsibility of guests to communicate their presence and room number to any person they wish to receive calls or visits from.Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded. The hotel assumes no responsibility for any personal bodily injury incurred while staying in our property.
