experienced Appalachian Trail “thru-hiker” to the family seeking a unique
weekend getaway, the Hike Inn’s secluded location allows a wide range of people
to enjoy the peace and beauty of the mountains without the trappings of modern
life.
The Inn is open
year-round and is a sustainably designed Georgia State Park facility nestled in
the Chattahoochee National Forest, just a few hours north of Atlanta. Its four
main buildings offer twenty private guest rooms, hot showers, fresh linens, and
home-cooked meals.
The Hike Inn’s
mission is to make experiencing nature easy and help protect it through
education and recreation.

Weekdays All guests must start their hike by 2pm to ensure you arriveat the inn by 5pm. Guests who are arriving on weekdays may check in at theAmicalola Falls Visitor Center. Weekday guests may also call 706.344.1547 to check in once you have arrived at the trailhead.
Weekends and Holidays All guests must start their hike by 2pm to ensure you arriveat the inn by 5pm. Guests who are arriving on weekends or holidays will need tocall 706.344.1547 and leave the following information: Name the reservation is under, number of people in your party, your car tag or description of your car, and the time you are starting your hike.
Parking Information All guests must start their hike by 2pm to ensure you arriveat the inn by 5pm. There is a $5 entrance fee into Amicalola Falls State Park. If visiting on weekends or holidays it is advisable to arrive before noon due tolimited parking. Our trailhead parking is at the top of the falls and is wellmarked. If the trailhead parking lot is full you may park at Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge or any of the other lots at the top of the falls. You will cross our trail as you drive to the lodge parking and will need to walk down the road to access the trail. Attached to this email is a parking map and a Len Foote Hike Inn trail map. Our trail and the blue blazed Appalachian Trail approach trailshare the same treadway for the first ¼ mile. Please follow the lime green blazed Len Foote Hike Inn to the right when the trails split.
