What is your cancellation policy?
You must cancel at least 72 hours prior to arrival to avoid incurring the cost of the entire stay. Any room that is booked on a promotional rate has a no refund policy; any cancellation, modification or in the case of no-show, the full amount of the reservation will be charged.
For bookings made thru online travel agents sites (ie Hostelworld, Booking.com etc), please check their cancelation policies and approach them directly.

What time is check in/out?
Check-in is from 3PM onwards and check-out is before 12PM.
Is there a deposit?
Yes, you are required to pay a security check in deposit of SGD50 or RM100 by cash only. Deposit shall be refunded upon check out after room condition check. Deposit will not be refunded if there is any hotel property damaged or stolen.
Can I check-in early or check-out later?
Requests or early check-in & late check-out will be subjected to availability. Exceeding check-out time without notifying the front desk in advance can result in extra charges.
What documents are required for check in?
A valid government-issued ID is required for domestic travelers; passports are required for international travelers. An adult must accompany guests under 18 years old during check-in.
Do you offer free internet or Wi-Fi in the room?
Yes, free internet access is available throughout the hotel.
Is breakfast included in the room rate?
The hotel does not serve any breakfast. However we can recommend you some good food around Melaka.
Is housekeeping included in the room rate?
Yes, it is. In fact, we will be cleaning your rooms daily, but if you wish to reuse your linens and towels and help us contribute to saving the earth, kindly inform the front desk.
Can I bring durians to the property?
No, unfortunately, we do not allow guests to bring durians onto the property. Due to the strong and distinctive odor of durians, we have a strict policy against bringing them into the property. This is to ensure a pleasant and comfortable environment for all our guests.
Can I smoke in the room?
We have a no-smoking policy in our hotel rooms and facilities. Please note that e-cigs, vapors, hookahs etc. fall under our non-smoking policy. Penalty of RM500 will be applied to smoking in areas that are non-smoking. You may, however, smoke at designated areas indicated at the hotel, contact our crew for location information regarding designated smoking areas.
Can I direct mail or packages to Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka during my stay?
You sure can. However, do email us at melaka@rucksackinn.com to let us know in advance when the mail or package is expected to arrive. Please note that we cannot take responsibility for any lost mail or packages.
Can I use another party’s authorised credit card to pay for my room?
Yes, you may do so on our direct booking engine. However, we may require you to present the credit card upon check in for verification purposes.
Can I store my luggage at the front desk?
Yes, you can. Just register with us at the front desk.
Where can I park my car?
There are 7 parking lots available within the compound and it is on a first-come, first-served basis. However, should they be taken up, public lots are also easily accessible within walking distance. Nearby public lots are located in front of Dutch Cemetery, TM Point, Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Police Station. Parking coupons are available for sale at our reception.
Can I bring my pets along?
We are sorry, pets are not allowed on property, with the exception of assistance animals (those needed to assist the physically challenged). You would need to inform us in advance for such request.
Are there any washing machines available?
There aren’t any washing machines, but we do provide third party laundry service at own cost. Please refer to the reception on the charges.
Is the hotel responsible for lost or damaged belongings?
We understand the importance of your belongings. However, we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to your personal property. To protect your valuables, we recommend using the in-room safe or keeping them with you at all times.

The swimming pool is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM.
