* From the bus/train stations hop in a RED PETIT TAXI and ask to be taken to Riad Verus in the Batha neighbourhood in the Fes Medina. Its going to be no more than 30 dhm and has a 3 person passenger capacity.

* Remember in Morocco if anyone guides you to the hostel door you are obligated to give them a tip even if you didnt ask for the service. You do not need a guide to find our hostel.
* In the welcome email from us (PLEASE DO READ IT - may be in Spam) we include a medina map for you to print out ahead of time. You can buy a Maroc Telecom Sim with 4G from the airport or a teleboutique and you will need this in Morocco as roaming is expensive.
* Most travellers coming to Morocco take advantage of a prepaid door to door airport transfer service. If you need us to arrange the logistics send us an email to info@riadverus.com and payment is by revolut, safe card payment link, monzo, wise, bizum, ing, bacs. Sadly Morocco still does not have Uber.
* ATMS and Money houses are at the airport, trainstation, bus stations, New Town large boulevards, post office, the Blue Gate and Batha Fountain.

-On arrival you will be charged the full amount and once checked if your plans alter you will not be refunded.
-Check-in from 15:00 but you can leave your bags earlier. The front door opens from 08:30 AM and locks at 00:00 AM
-Check out of the bedroom before 12:00 NOON please and please strip your bed to assist housekeeping.
-Payment upon arrival in cash please, to check in you must pay first. There are ATMs close by.
-There is a surcharge for card payments of 2.5%, we also accept ING, revolut, monzo, wise, bizum, N26, BACS but this is done in advance of the stay so do contact us
-If you break anything in the hostel, room, bed or bathroom, soil a towel, sheet or steal any item in the hostel your card on record will be charged accordingly.
-From 01.01.24 all reservations will incur the touristic tax of 35 dhm per person per night on top of their net reservation amount to the hostel (applies to reservations made after 01.12.23)
-Public parking for cars and bikes available at Om El Banine for a daily charge, also for bicycles.
-Pets are allowed on request (extra fee may apply).
-No bringing in own alcohol, friends staying at other hostels or locals.
-Surfboards are only accepted with advance notice for private rooms. Surf boards cannot be in dorms.
-Airport transfers available (additional charge) Email us please with full flight information and payment is in advance via revolut, monzo, card payment with 2.5% fee, BACS, bizum, ing or wise.
-Our GF room is wheelchair accessible. Two of our dorm rooms are on patio level and ear plugs and eye masks are advisable.
-24 hour security.
-North African Nationals who do not hold Non-Arabian passports by Law may only share rooms with their spouses and documentation is needed as proof please and they may not book mixed dorm rooms. If this is to be the case your reservation will be cancelled and no refund given.
-Please ensure you email us your arrival time and a WhatsApp phone number for your reservation in case we need to contact you.

As we are very popular if you have not arrived before 5 pm we have the right to free up your reservation/ bed if you have not forewarned us or paid in advance. If you are arriving between 00:00 - 08:30 there is an additional charge of 100 Dhm or 10 € per person in cash and prior notice must be given to ensure there is someone to open the door.
Children under 18 cannot be in dorm rooms. No children under 16 can be without parental supervision in rooms they have exclusively booked.
Men traveling alone over 35 may not book dorm rooms. We have sole occupancy private rooms available. Anyone committing lewd acts will be immediately told to leave without a refund.
We do advise our guests to be wary of touts (for example people on the train, dodgy taxi drivers and street hustles, pickpockets...) as they are hungry for business and it can turn awkward even if they seem genuinely interested in you, just be careful. If you are ever lost or confused give our receptionist a phone call and we will come to help you find your way back. We also have a video for directions uploaded onto YouTube so do check it out and please have enough data on 4G or buy a Moroccan SIM so you can see where we are on Google-maps.
We are not responsible for the loss or damage to valuables, passports, money, jewellery, devices, phones, headphones, laptops, clothes of any sort. All dorms have little lockers, so bring a padlock with you.
