Property and Cancelation Policies :
The Village Inn is not responsible for weather conditions, personal emergencies, or schedule changes. If you must change, shorten, or cancel your reservation, do so within the timeframe indicated below for a full refund less any incurred change/cancellation fees (per room).
Advance Deposits
A deposit equal to one night's stay (plus taxes)is required and charged at the time of booking.
For stays of four to seven nights, an additionalnight's deposit is required.
An advance deposit equal to 50% of the totalanticipated charges is required for reservations of eight or more nights.
Cancellation Policy
Standard Reservations: Reservations cancelled less than 10 days prior to arrival,result in a forfeiture of your advance deposit. You must cancel by3pm 48 hours prior to arrival or you are financially responsible for anyadditional reserved nights not covered by your advance deposit.
Group Reservations, Holidays and Special Events: Reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior toarrival, result in a forfeiture of your advance deposit. You must cancelby 3pm 10 days prior to arrival or you are financially responsible for anyadditional reserved nights not covered by your advance deposit.
Corporate Reservations: You must cancel by 3pm 24 hours prior to arrival or you arefinancially responsible for all room nights booked. Please note, toqualify as a corporate reservation, your company must have an existingagreement with the Sherwood Inn and Appetites.
Change/Cancellation Fee
Standard Reservations: We reserve the right to charge a $35change/cancellation fee if a reservation is shortened, rescheduled, room/propertymodification, or cancelled at any time.
Stays of four or more nights: We reserve the right to charge a$50 change/cancellation fee if a reservation is shortened, rescheduled, room/propertymodification, or cancelled at any time.
No Shows
A no show reservation will be subject to a releaseof room at 11am the morning following the date of arrival. You arefinancially responsible for the entire booked stay.
Terms and Conditions
Check-In: Check-in is3pm at the Sherwood Inn, located at 26 WestGenesee Street, Skaneateles, NY.
Due to the intimate nature of our properties, early check-in is not permitted.
Check-Out: Check-out is by 11am.
We have a small, dedicated staff that needs time to prepare rooms for arriving guests.If you require more time, a 12pm check-out can sometimes be arranged with priornotification for an additional fee of $35. Please submit your request thenight prior to departure.
If you would like to extend your stay for another night(s), please inform our staffand we will advise of availability. We thank you for your understanding.
Hotel Accessibility: The Village Inn roomsare accessible by stairs only. Our property has no elevator. We do have alimited number of accessible rooms at our other properties. Prior to andduring your stay, please advise if special accommodation or accessible parkingis needed and our team will work with you to ensure you have a wonderful visit.
Occupancy: All guest rooms accommodatesingle or double occupancy. Due to fire code and safety restrictions,rooms cannot accommodate extra people. All visitors and guestsoccupying a guest room must be registered with the front desk. We reservethe right to charge for unauthorized guests beyond the allowed occupancy limitper room.
Pets: We are unable to accommodatepets. No exceptions. Undisclosed pets may result in an additional cleaningfee of $250 and/or being asked to leave the premises. Additionally, anydamage caused by your animal is your responsibility.
Minimum Age: You must be at least 21 torent our property or occupy a guestroom without a parent.
Credit Card Authorization and Payment: Avalid credit card is required to make a reservation. We accept all majorcredit cards.
If using a debit card, please note that your bank will hold your funds at the timeof authorization; for this reason, debit cards are typically discouraged forall hotel reservations.
Your credit card and a valid ID must be presented at check-in, at which time theremaining balance of your stay will be charged.
For alternate forms of payment or third-party payment, please inquire.
Group Reservations: To ensure the comfortand enjoyment of all guests, we have special policies regarding groupreservations. Any booking exceeding three rooms must be booked through ourgroup reservationist.
Before booking online, please contact us regarding your group’s stay so that wecan mutually determine if our hotel is a good fit. All group rentals of 4or more rooms will be reviewed by management prior to official confirmation.Therefore, reservation requests submitted online for 4 or more rooms, orindividual online reservation requests that constitute a group reservation of 4or more rooms are considered unconfirmed until notified by a manager via email.
Parking: Free off-street parking isavailable for one car per guest room. Additional free parking is available onnearby streets. Trailers and boats are not permitted in our lot. Pleaserespect the neighboring businesses and do not park in their lots; you may betowed. We are not responsible for damage to vehicles, or damage or loss ofproperty left in parked vehicles, regardless of location.
Desk Hours and Service: Staff at the Sherwood Inn are available around the clock formost guest service needs.
Quiet Hours: Please show respect forother guests and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of10pm and9am. Guests who disturb other guests may be asked to leave and will notbe provided a refund.
Damage to Property: Guests are responsiblefor any damage or loss they cause to the property. Guests may be chargedcleaning fees for damaged, destroyed or excessively soiled towels, linensand/or other soft goods.
No Smoking, No Candles, No Incense, Etc.: The Sherwood Inn Properties are strictly non-smoking. Smoking is only allowedin designated areas outside of the property. Smoking is not allowed in thebuilding, in guest rooms, in public outdoor areas or on private outdoorbalconies and porches. Evidence of smoking, including the smell of smoke, inthe room areas will result in a minimum $250 charge plus the cost of any damagedproperty.
The burning of any sort of object including candles or incense, and the use of stronglyscented items is prohibited.
All the above are subject to cleaning and damage fees.
