One strange hotel...

Secluded on a curvy road by the foot of the fairytale-like Sintra mountains, Marqí is an 80s mansion turned into a private boutique hotel with large unique rooms & suites, pool garden, lobby & restaurant.

A safe haven in many ways, Marqí is tucked away in an exotic hillside garden, allowing for both perfect hideaways, countless private spots in the sun and stunning views of the green valley and nearby (and far-away) beaches .

The original owner, being a civil-engineer and a man with many friends, designed the property to entertain, making it suitable to renovate house with a large lobby and a restaurant, both with fireplaces, several spacious terraces, and even a club in the basement ‘Nando’s Place’.

The renovated mansion now includes 8 spacious rooms & suites - all with private balconies or terraces, and no two units alike. Unique in both layout and design, each rooms is carefully curated with one-of-a-kind vintage pieces and new bathrooms, all with a love for mid-century modern and 70s aesthetics.

Cancelation or change of dates is free of charge until 10 days prior to arrival. Later cancellation or no-show will result in 1 night's room charge.

Terms and Conditions

RESERVATION POLICY
All reservations require a valid credit card. Credit card is to guarantee reservation only, and will only be charged upon checkout, unless an other payment option is used. Your reservation is guaranteed until the 23:00 hrs the day of arrival. After that time, unless notice is given, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned.
All requests to reserve a room must include the first and last name of all adults occupying the room and a valid credit card for a guarantee of arrival.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT

Check in time is at 3pm and check out is at 12 noon. Due to the private nature and size of the hotel, we kindly ask that new guests arrive no earlier than 3pm and that departing guests leave the hotel premises by no later than 2pm. Should you wish to arrive or depart later than above mentioned, please check with management beforehand. Departures past 12:00pm will be subject to a Late Departure Fee unless approved my management. After 3pm one night’s room rate will be applied. You are always welcome to request a late check-out, and management will do its best to accommodate you.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Unless a non-refundable deal has been booked, cancelation and change of dates is free of charge until 12 noon 10 days prior to the check-in date. After this time, we charge 1 night's room rate to the credit card as cancellation fee.

PAYMENT

A valid credit card is required upon check-in to guarantee reservation only and to secure all charges associated with your booking. Payment will happen during your stay or upon check-out, with the payment method of your choice

CHILDREN

We love kids, but Marqí is designed and visioned for adults. Therefore, kindly check with management before booking, if children are allowed on your dates. Please note that the max occupancy of any guests is 2 persons per room. If you travel with a child, we therefore suggests booking the Balcony Double and the Deluxe Balcony Double which can be adjoined as one large suite. A baby or toddler may with prior agreement sleep in the same room as the adults, subject to a service fee.

GUESTS
The max occupancy is 2 persons per room. A total of 2 visitors per room are allowed to join you in the pool garden, lobby or restaurant, provided you make a reservation. All visitors must be registered prior to their arrival. Parties of more visitors are considered Private events and must be planned accordingly with us. Please email book@marqi.holiday with any inquiries.

PET POLICY

We love animals but we love our guests more. Pets may be welcome in certain rooms, provided they are registered upon making a reservation, are small of size, quiet of nature and are approved by Management. A fee of EUR 30 per night is applied, as well as deposit of EUR 150 in case of any property damages.

PARKING

The hotel provides free parking. There are 4 spots on the on-property parking lot and 4 spots on the street.

FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY

Marqí is a place for privacy and seclusion. Photography and filming for commercial and editorial purposes - including branded instagram content - and of other guests, are prohibited on property without prior approval from Hotel Management. Any non approved commercial shootings - including branded and tagged social media content, will be subject to our commercial rights fee of up to EUR 4.000 per day. OCCUPANCY

The maximum occupancy per room is 2 guests. All rooms feature large 180cm luxury double beds. We do not offer extra beds.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

Guests of 18 years of age and above are permitted to check in to the Hotel. For guests younger than 18, please confirm with management.

FOOD & BEVERAGE
The hotel is partly serviced, and we aim to serve you and meet your demands for food & beverage throughout the day at reasonable rates. This means no outside food & beverage is allowed by the pool, in the lobby, restaurant or other public areas. We do aim to serve you in your room as well, however you are allowed to bring outside food & beverage to your private space.

SMOKING

Smoking may be enjoyed on private balconies, terraces and public outdoor spaces. Smoking is not allowed inside any of our rooms, guests who are found smoking inside will be charged a smoking fee of EUR 250.
