Late check-out (after 10:00 AM and before 12:00 PM) may result in a fee.
Property and Cancelation Policies :
For Privatization (Exclusive Use): Cancellation is possible up to 31 days before the arrival date. After that, all cancellations will be charged at 100% and can be rescheduled up to 12 calendar months. A deposit of 30% is required at time of booking to confirm the reservation. The remaining 70% will be paid 30 days before arrival date. If the rental includes a an event, event venue rental the deposit is increased to 50%, balance due 50% prior to arrival.
For Event Venue rentals: Full payment is due to confirm reservation, non-refundable within 90 days of event, can be rescheduled for 12 calendar months.
Guest Experiences, Packages, and Offers are pre-paid in full, non-refundable.
Chateau Belet places an authorization hold for the amount of the security deposit proportional to the length of stay, usually between €100 - €5000 several days before arrival. The guest is not charged, but funds held, and released on check-out without damages.
Chateau Belet is a non-smoking, drug-free, weapon-free property. Events, large group parties, organized activities other than registered guests are prohibited without separate contract. Commercial filming of any type, live or recorded, including pornographic, promotional or tourism, is prohibited without separate contract, filming release.
Terms and Conditions
Chambre d'hôtes (B&B): Free cancellation possible up to 8 days before arrival. Bookings made less than 8 days prior to arrival will be charged 100% to confirm the reservation and is non-refundable. A valid credit card and ID is required at check-in.
For Privatization (Exclusive Use): 30% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation with the remaining 70% due 30 days in advance of arrival. Free cancellation possible up to 31 days in advance of the arrival date. A valid credit card is and guest ID is required at time of check-in. A valid liability insurance certificate must be provided prior to arrival. The host of record shall also be required to sign acknowledgement of receiving the house manual which includes terms and conditions.
For Event Rental only (no accommodations): Full payment is due upon booking and is refundable up to 90 days in advance of the event, but can be reschedule up to 12 calendar months. A valid ID and credit card is due at time of booking.
Guest Experiences, Packages and Offers are paid in advance to confirm service(s) and are non-refundable.
By making a reservation, you also confirm having read and agreed to abide by the following Key Terms and Conditions.
Caterers and Chefs: For insurance and liability purposes, all catering, hired cooks, outside chefs or sommeliers must be arranged through or pre-approved by Chateau de Belet. The host of record will be charged 60€ per person, per meal for any services provided by unauthorized caterers, cooks, chefs or sommeliers. Corkage fee is 25€ per bottle unless otherwise agreed by Chateau de Belet for all catering, chef services, events.
Commercial Activities, Events and Parties: Only pre-approved events and activities (such as parties, film shoots, weddings) are permitted on the property or in the premises which have been accompanied by a separate liability insurance certificate and a non-refundable event fee. The host on record will be assessed a fee of 5000€ for any unapproved events.
Illegal drugs and smoking are strictly prohibited.
Check-in 4pm (1600)-7pm (1900) is strongly observed. Late check-in: to 3 hours: Chambre d'hotes (B&B) 55€, otherwise half day rental. We request 24 hour prior notification so as not to impose on our other guests.
Late check-out or check-in: up to 3 hours: Privatized rental 850€. A one day rental fee will be charged for late check out greater than 3 hours.
Overnight guests and visitors: Registered guests only are permitted to stay overnight in the castle. Registered guests may however, upon pre-approval by Chateau de Belet, invite up to 10 visitors without being considered 'an event' and provide a list of names of each visitor. The host guests is responsible for visitor behavior and liability.
Pet Fees: Pets are welcome with pre-approval required at time of booking; 50€ per pet, per night. We reserve the right to charge the host of record for any professional cleaning fees of rugs or upholstery which may be required to fully eliminate any residue.
Security Deposits (for privatized rentals only) and Credit Card numbers: For privatised rentals of the chateau, we will place an authorization hold of 1500€ for the security deposit 8 days before arrival and is released no later than 3 days after check-out and without any damages or violations. Similarly, for all hosts of records (B&B included) the guest credit card is held on file until check out and supplemental or incidental purchases are settled. The credit card number is then destroyed.
Other Terms & Conditions of your rental:
Accessibility: The buildings, pastures and woodlands of Belet are not well suited for those requiring accessibility assistance.
Call out services: $200 per incident plus cost of repairs/parts (tripped electrical circuits, false alarms, toilet overflow, etc.)
Damage Policy: Guests are subject to paying cost of repairs at 125€ hour or full replacement cost/taxes.
Dispute Resolution, Liability, Force Majeure – Management takes all quality, guest activity and safety seriously, including directing cessation of any activity, unforeseen, unsafe or tasteless, without refund, rental continuation, at our sole discretion. All visitors or guests indemnify, hold harmless Management, Directors, Shareholders, Employees, and their Heirs against any and all liability and/or while participating in any company organized service(s).
Gift Certificates, Gift Boxes and 3rd party promotions are required to be presented at the time of booking; taxes and fees are the responsibility of the guest.
Parking - one vehicle per guest room, tour buses allowed with off-site parking available, excess parking in pasture weather permitting.
Security - property is monitored including public area CCTV.
Taxes: applicable taxes and fees are applied to each rental, sale and service at prevailing governmental rates. In the case of cancellation or early departure all taxes, VAT and any applicable OTA fees shall be collected.
Force Majeure as it applies to reservations, events, booking deposits and payments, service pre-payments may include our inability to on the date reserved due to natural disasters (fire, storms, floods), governmental or societal actions (war, invasion, civil unrest, labor strikes), infrastructure failures (transportation, energy) or changes of property operational activity, ownership, or unforeseen or planned changes in management.
There is no life guard on duty at the fenced pool, swim at your own risk.
