Cantagua is home for travelers from all walks of life looking for a happy and cozy place to feel "en casa". A place to MEET, SHARE & ENJOY with others.
We welcome you into our family. We seek all those attracted to new experiences. New people, new encounters and a new HOME away from home.
We offer air-conditioned mixed and girl only rooms. Each room containing 4-10 bunk-beds (two floors) with an ensuite. Each bed is designed for the ultimate traveller, a space with all the essentials, and privacy if needed.
Valencia is a city where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. Cantagua is neighbors to Ruzzafa, known as "the heart of the youth" in Valencia. This pocket of the city is vibrant and creative, full of coffee bars, delicious local food, authentic live music, boutique shops and much more. A short walk away is the Historical City Center, Turia a picturesque sunken park and the futuristic City of Arts and Sciences.

CANCELATION POLICY
- Cancelations will be possible without economical charges if made 48 hours or more before the day of check in (for example, if your reservation starts on Friday, you have until Tuesday at 11:59 to cancel without penalties).
- Cancelations outside these times will be charged the full amount with no possibility of refund.
- No shows (not showing up for the check -in) will be charged the full amount, nil refund will be given.
- If the guest is planning to arrive after the day scheduled for check-in, it is essential to give notice to Cantagua Hostel (before 8:00 am of the following morning) in order to keep your reservation. Otherwise, the general terms of "No show " will apply and the guest will be charged the full amount, nil refund will be given.
- The period of cancelation is asked in order to give someone else the opportunity to stay in Cantagua.
- If you wish to cancel your reservation please send an email to cantaguahostel@gmail.com and we will send a cancelation e mail to confirm the change.
- For group reservations (8 or more) the free cancelation period changes to two weeks prior to the day of check in. After this time the full amount must be payed. In this cases the guest must pay the 50% of the total of the reservation two weeks before check in to receive a confirmation e mail.

You get your breakfast for free by booking through our website!
- Check in is available from 2 pm until 9 pm. However, if you are running late please contact our team before 8 pm via phone (961816441), or e-mail (cantaguahostel@gmail.com). Check out is 8am till 11am. After check out you can leave your belongings and luggage in a secured area until your departure from Valencia.
- The dorms are not available for private bookings. Every dorm is shared with each bed being reserved individually. However, we will try to accommodate group or couple bookings. Please, inform our team ahead of arrival.
- We can´t accept reservations from guests under 18 years old.
- Booking modifications and changes can be made with nil cost incurred when given 48 hours notice before the reservation date. This includes date changes, with exemption of difference in costs over peak periods
- If the guest is planning to arrive after the day scheduled for check-in, it is essential to give notice to Cantagua Hostel (before 8:00 am of the following morning) in order to keep your reservation. Otherwise, the general terms of "No show " will apply and the guest will be charged the full amount, nil refund will be given.
- If you are traveling with your bicycle, you can only store it inside the hostel if there is space for it (consult with the staff beforehand) and a supplement of 10 euros per night is charged.
- For group reservations (8 or more) the free cancelation period changes to two weeks prior to the day of check in. After this time the full amount must be payed. In this cases the guest must pay the 10% of the total of the reservation two weeks before check in to receive a confirmation e mail.
All travelers are welcome in Cantagua. In order to ensure a healthy space, we respectfully ask all visitors to take in mind the following guidelines during your stay:
- Cantagua is a smoke-free hostel as all areas of the hostel are indoors including the communal area.
- We understand the joy and excitement of experiencing Valencia in its fullest, including its vibrant nightlife. For those who want to party and explore the local nightlife feel free to ask our knowledgable staff about options. Nevertheless, we remind you that Cantagua is a friendly space and most importantly a place for everyone to enjoy. Quiet hours in dorms are after 10 pm and the common areas close after 11.30 pm. Parties are strictly forbidden.
- You are more than welcome to bring and consume your own alcohol in our communal area. Each traveller is responsible for their own consumption of alcohol. Drinking in the rooms is not allowed, and staff members have the right to request any guest to stop consuming alcohol.
- Cantagua is a hostel, this means every room is shared. We ask that you to keep your space clean and ordered at all times so as not to encroach on any other guests space. We also ask that you respect all the furniture and maintain a harmonic tone during your stay.
- Comfort and privacy of our guests is very important to us. To show respect for everyone staying at Cantagua only guests will be allowed in the establishment after 11.30 pm.
- Each reservation is for one single bed per person. It is a requirement that each guest sleeps in their allocated bed. If at any point during your stay another person is found in your bed, a fine of 50 euros cash will be issued. If this conduct remains, the reservation will be canceled and the guest will be politely asked to leave the establishment.
- Sexual relations are prohibited in the dorms or any part of the common area. If at any point a guest engages in these actions, they will be immediately escorted off the premises and their reservation cancelled with no refund.
- Drug use, abuse, aggressive behaviour or similar conduct is strictly forbidden in any part of the hostel. If at any point a guest engages in these actions, they will be immediately escorted off the premises and their reservation cancelled with no refund.
- We want our guests to have a warm and cozy experience. These rules provide the basis of a friendly environment and allow each guest to enjoy their stay in harmony. We hope to see you soon.

Here at Cantagua we’re committed to implementing new safety measures to keep that pesky COVID 19 at bay.We’re practicing safe distancing across the hostel to align with Spain’s health authorities. So, to guarantee your safe space bubble, whether you’re in our dorms, bathrooms, reception or kitchen we’ve implemented the following:
- The option of online payment.
- Hand sanitiser stations at every entrance along with disinfectant mats for footwear for all your disinfectant needs. Face masks are also available if needed.
- There’s continuous ventilation of common areas and rooms.
- Cleaning and disinfecting all areas of the hostel is regular, with special attention in areas of common use and bathrooms.
- Telephone numbers for health entities are provided and our entire team are here to assist should any health concerns arise.
Dorms/rooms
- We disinfect each cubicle, including all surfaces, curtains & mattresses after use. Bedding is provided in a sterile personalised bag.
- In every bathroom attention is paid to the regular disinfection of the space & further cleaning products are available for you if needed.
