The FIBH boasts four separate buildings with differing room types. The Watchtower, aptly named with its peaked spire formerly used to search for wayward vessels, hosts 19 of the property’s 38 rooms. Every single room in the Watchtower was completely renovated for the 2020 season. Available rooms in the Watchtower include Standard Kings and Queens as well as Double Queens and Suites, many with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. Every room in the Watchtower features flat-screen televisions, iPhone docking stations and semi-private terraces with Adirondack chairs. The Watchtower has something to offer everyone with either a view of the lively pool scene at the FIBH or a commanding view of the Atlantic Ocean and the beach at Ocean Bay Park.
The FIBH also hosts nine suites with semi-private outdoor terraces and large, renovated King beds for extended stays on the island. The property also boasts two Beach Bungalows and Two Beach Cabins that can accommodate from six to eight people in each. These Beach Cabins and Bungalows offer full kitchens, separate bedrooms, living space and private decks with outdoor showers. Lastly, the Beach House Building offers the remaining rooms on the property. In addition to the rooms, the Beach House features the main lobby, grab and go food and beverage perfect for the beach, the boutique at the FIBH and a cafe station.
The pool at the FIBH is accompanied by the newly refurbished 'Canes at The FIBH serving a fresh, light and bright menu that will keep the most discerning bar and pool goers happy. Bar, patio and poolside dining and beverage service is available. Also renovated is the Lounge on the South Lawn. The artificially turfed lawn will feature chaise lounges, heaters, Adirondack chairs and outdoor sofas to offer yet another spot to chill, imbibe and mingle. For a quick bite, or a cocktail, our servers can be summoned to the Lounge to make those chill vibes more convenient than ever. All of this only steps away from the Atlantic Ocean and some of the best beaches in all of Long Island.
These new features will make the Fire Island Beach House the spot to be for Summer 2023 and beyond!
Terms of Booking & Booking Deposit
By placing a booking with us (the Fire Island Beach House or/ his/her representative) you (the guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out.
During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.
To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 21 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third-party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.
To secure any booking we require a deposit to be paid in advance, this deposit amount is = 50% of entire stay. Deposit payments must be 'cleared funds' before a booking can be confirmed. Deposits are only refundable under the conditions set out here within.
Payments can be made online with a credit or debit card. Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling dishonored payments, bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the guest within seven (7) days of any request to do so.
All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbors and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honoring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbors or the owners.
Check-in & Check-out
Guests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below.
+ Check-in by: 4:00pm and before 11:59pm on day of arrival
+ Check-out by: 10:30am on day of departure
WiFi Fair & Appropriate Usage Policy:
Where WiFi Internet access is provided, guests accept to use this access to the Internet fairly and appropriately. We may monitor network performance and user usage in order to maintain a fair and high level of service to all our guests.
The Internet access provided is intended for general use such as access to the world wide web, email, messaging, social media, light video / music / media streaming. It is not intended or ideally suited for heavy media streaming, online gaming, extensive downloads / uploads. Access to illegal activity or use of our network for illegal activity is prohibited and will be reported to local authorities.
Damages & Lost Property
We reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimize damage and associated costs. Lost keys / cards will incur a replacement charge per key / card lost.
Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month or (30) thirty days. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners, we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking out. We may offer to mail lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collections must be arranged.
Smoking
Smoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff, chewing tobacco or VAPING, is NOT allowed throughout the complex, and individual accommodation and is in accordance with the Health Act.
Pets & Service Dogs
We do not accept pets of any kind throughout the accommodation, except for service dogs, Emotional Support Animals do not fall un the Department of Justice or the ADA compliance as a Service Animal.
Our Right To Cancellation
We reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.
Cancellation Policy:
All Reservations are Guaranteed, and a Deposit is Taken of 50% of the Total Stay at the time of Reservation. The remaining Balance of the reservation will be taken 72 Hours Prior to Arrival.
Reservations Cancelled (14) fourteen or more days prior to arrival, a full refund of deposits given will be Refunded. (8) eight to (13) thirteen Days Prior to Arrival a (1) One Night Room Rate Cancellation Fee will be Charged to the Method of Payment on File, the remainder will be Refunded.
All Cancellations within (7) Seven Days of Arrival are Guaranteed, Entire Stay will be Charged.
Thank you for Choosing The Fire Island Beach House for your stay! We would like to ensure that all guests that are occupying the Room is the Registered Guest over the age of 21+. All occupants MUST be accompanied by the Registered Guest and/or the LEGAL GUARDIAN at all times. NO ONE UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WILL BE PERMITTED WITHOUT A LEGAL GUARDIAN. The Fire Island Beach House reserves the right to request identification at check-in, during and after stay to ensure compliance. If persons under the AGE of 21 is occupying a guest room, The Management will ask for all occupants to Vacate the room and there will not be a refund of any monies paid. SMOKING IS POHIBITED IN ALL AREAS OF THE PROPERTY INCLUDING GUEST ROOMS, a $350.00 CLEANING FEE WILL CHARGED IF FOUND SMOKING IN GUEST ROOMS.
The Bathing facility operator shall provide to all patrons a written statement or brochure. Only patrons who have received this statement may use the bathing facility. The brochure or statement must state at least the following:
- NEVER SWIM ALONE. A minimum of two adults, 18 years of age or older, must be present whenever this swimming facility is used.
- THERE IS NO SUBSTITUE FOR ADEQUATE SUPERVISION. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, (an adult who is responsible for the children and their behavior).
- IN AN EMERGENCY, NOTIFY THE FACILITY OPERATOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. A free telephone is provided at this facility in the front office. Telephone numbers for the nearest emergency medical service are posted.
- Only use this facility during posted hours of operation.
- Don't drink alcohol and swim.
- Preform at least one visual check daily, prior to use, to ensure code compliance. Maintain a log of all inspections.
- Children less than 16 years of age must at all times be accompanied by a parent or guardian or similar adult responsible for the safety and behavior while at the bathing facility.
