MAC’S MOTEL — TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Introduction By booking or staying at Mac’s Motel (“the Motel”), you (“the Guest”) agree to these Terms & Conditions, which may change without notice.
2. Prices & Taxes Room Rates may change without notice. A combined 11.67% tax applies to stays of 29 nights or fewer (including sales and lodging taxes). Stays of 30+ consecutive days may be tax-exempt; contact us for details.
3. Payment & Check-In/Check-Out Check-in: 3:00 PM, Check-out: 11:00 AM. Guests must be 21+ with valid photo ID. Prepayment required by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx) or pre-paid debit. We place a hold for total stay + $50 incidental, released after check-out if room is in good condition. Late check-out may incur extra fees.
4. Traveling with Minors Primary guest must be 21+. Minors can stay with a qualifying adult. Single-bed rooms (Queen/King) allow max 2 occupants; multi-bed rooms allow max 4 occupants.
5. Accessibility & Special Needs We comply with ADA. Accessible rooms available on request. Note any special needs in your reservation or contact us directly.
6. Parking Free, first-come-first-served parking near rooms. Motel is not liable for vehicle damage, loss, or theft. Long-term parking requires notifying the front desk; unauthorized vehicles may be towed.
7. Hotel Events Quiet hours 11:00 PM–7:00 AM apply even during events. Some areas may be restricted. All guests must follow Motel policies and local regulations.
8. Dispute Resolution / Issues Contact the front desk or management first. Utah law governs these Terms. Prevailing party in legal disputes may recover attorney fees.
9. Use of Personal Information We collect info (e.g., name, payment details) to process reservations. We share only as needed or required by law. We take reasonable measures to protect data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Liability Guests assume all risks on property. Motel not liable for injury or loss except as required by law. Damages or missing items are charged at market value; report pre-existing issues upon arrival. We’re not liable for delivered packages.
11. Force Majeure We aren’t liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, outages).
12. Third Party Rights These Terms confer no rights on entities not party to them.
13. Waiver Failure to enforce a provision isn’t a waiver of the right to do so later.
14. Severance If a provision is ruled invalid, the rest remain in effect.
15. Additional Policies
15.1 Reservation & Cancellation Reservations must list all adult occupants. Cancellations 48+ hrs before check-in get a full refund; 24–48 hrs get future-stay credit; cancellations after 3:00 PM the day before check-in are charged in full.
15.2 Smoking (No-Smoking) Policy We are a smoke-free property; no smoking (cigarettes, cigars, vapes, etc.) on our premises, indoors or outdoors. A $250 fine applies for smoking on property, $500 for smoking in a room. Violators may be asked to leave without refund.
15.3 Pet Policy $20/night for one pet up to 50 lbs; some breeds not permitted (Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, Dobermans, Chows, Great Danes, Saint Bernards, Akitas). Pets must be leashed in public, not left unattended for long, and owners must clean up after them. A $250 fee applies for poop or excessive cleaning; additional damage billed at market value.
15.4 Room Conduct Quiet hours 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. No excessive noise, parties, or illegal activity. Staff may enter for maintenance or emergencies.
15.5 Firearms Firearms must be unloaded and locked in a hard-sided container, transported only between the locked vehicle and room. On-duty law enforcement or designated military personnel are exempt. Violations can lead to removal without refund.
15.6 Guest Safety Motel does not disclose guest room numbers or presence to third parties unless required by law. Security cameras operate in common areas. Motel is not liable for personal injury or property loss.
16. Extended Stays & Waiver of Tenant Rights Guests staying 30+ days waive tenant rights. No landlord-tenant relationship is formed. We may enter rooms with notice for maintenance or policy issues and may evict for nonpayment or nuisances without typical eviction proceedings.
