Welcome to The Woodward, a modern, contactless boutique hotel offering nine unique and private rooms. Located in the heart of historic downtown Macon on the corner of Second Street and Mulberry Street Lane, The Woodward is just steps away from our vibrant and authentic Southern city’s best local restaurants, live music, and cultural experiences. 

Our digital-only check-in and check-out provide the privacy and flexibility of a vacation rental, but our well-appointed rooms offer the best aspects of a boutique hotel stay, with their traditional hotel layout, luxe Matouk linens, sparkling ensuite bathrooms, writing desk, reading chair, and Malin + Goetz toiletries. Management, housekeeping and bar staff will be onsite at check-in time to assist with any questions, needs, or boozy refreshments.

Our on-site bar, Quill, will be open for drinks Mon - Thurs: 5 PM - 10 PM & Fri- Sat: 5 PM - 12 AM.

THE WOODWARD HOTEL 
POLICIES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS


CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
    • Check-in is at 4 pm. Check-out is at 11am. Early check-ins and late check-outs are never guaranteed and are subject to availability and/or additional fees.
    •  All check-in and check-outs are done through the booking engine; we don’t have a front desk. Management, housekeeping, and bar staff will be onsite at check-in time to assist with any questions, needs, or boozy refreshments.
    • Quill, our cocktail bar, will be open for drinks Monday - Thursday: 5 PM - 10 PM & Friday- Saturday: 5 PM - 12 AM.


RESERVATIONS
  • BOOKING
    • Guests must be 21+ years of age to book a room at The Woodward.
    • We do not accept cash payments.
    • When booking, please take careful note of the maximum occupancy. These limits are government-mandated for guest safety. Parties who exceed the maximum occupancy will be evicted without a refund for the length of their stay. With that said, let us know how if you need help figuring out how to accommodate your larger party, and we’ll help in every way we can.
  •  SAME-DAY BOOKINGS
    • We accept same-day bookings until 7 PM.
  • ADJUSTING YOUR RESERVATION
    • Most adjustments can be made online through our booking engine. If you encounter issues or the adjustment you seek isn’t available, contact us. We’ll see what we can do for you.
  • GUARANTEES
    • Your room and rate are guaranteed until the day of arrival UNTIL 11:59 PM. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned. Let us know if you’re running late.
    • The hotel has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive your deposit.
    • We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after cancelling your booking. 
  • CONFIRMATION
    • When you book your room, our booking engine will automatically send you a confirmation that includes your confirmation number and lots of helpful info to guide you through the arrival and self-check-in process. You’ll also receive a reminder check-in code at 8 AM the day you arrive. If you have any questions, please give us a call!
  • DEPOSITS
    • When you book your stay, our booking engine will ask you for credit card information to make your deposit, which is the full cost of your stay. This will appear as a hold and not a charge. You will be charged on the day you check in, if you have not already paid the full amount.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY
    • Full Charge - Full Cost - If canceled within 2 days of arrival
    • Partial Charge - 50% of Deposit - If canceled within 7 days of arrival
    • No Charge - If canceled within 14 days of arrival


AGE POLICY & CHILDREN
  • You must be at least 21 years of age to book a room at The Woodward.
  • The Woodward does not have a minimum age for non-booking guests, and you are welcome to bring your children. However, please keep in mind that we do not offer cribs, rollaway beds, or public spaces designed for kid safety and fun. The fragile items in the rooms are subject to our damages policy, and we strive to maintain a peaceful atmosphere throughout the hotel and attached public bar.


PET POLICY
  • No pets allowed, including Emotional Support Animals who are not trained to perform specific tasks. Service animals warmly welcomed.


DAMAGES & FINES
  • Evidence of smoking indoors will result in a $250 fee per each day of your reservation, per room.
  • Evidence of pets in the room(s) will result in a $250 fee per each day of your reservation, per room.
  • Damages beyond average wear and tear of the room, or theft of goods from the room (including linens, books, décor, furniture and technology) will result in The Woodward charging the credit card on file for the fair market cost to repair or replace the item(s), plus a 15% surcharge, preceded by a notification of that pending charge to the email address on file 1 day prior to repair or replacement.


DISPUTE RESOLUTION
  • Any controversy or claim arising out of or relating to this document, or the breach thereof, shall be settled by arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association, and judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. Each party shall be responsible for their own fees.


ALCOHOL POLICY
  • Alcohol is permitted in the rooms, but is not permitted to be taken unopened from Quill into the rooms.


ACCESSIBILITY
  • Accessible entrance ramp located through the alley
  • Room 5 and its ensuite bathroom are wheelchair accessible, with grab bars and rails.

  • Please note that second-floor rooms are can only be accessed via rather steep stairs. There is no luggage lift, elevator, nor bellhop. Downstairs rooms are accessible via a wheelchair ramp in the rear of the building, but only Room 5 is designed for wheelchair use.

HOUSEKEEPING
  • Our fantastic cleaning crew makes your room sparkling clean before and after your stay.
  • We support the environment and reduce waste by only bringing you fresh towels and linens if requested. Just flip the door tag and mark the boxes you require:
    • Fresh towels, please.
    • A quick vacuum and dust!
    • Please replenish:
      • coffee supplies
      • toiletries
      • bottled water
      • Our housekeeping team will check these tags each day at 11AM, and if they see a box checked, they will take care of it for you.

INTERNET
  • Wifi is available in all areas and is free of charge. Check your confirmation email and welcome letter for the password.
  • We also offer in-room LAN hookups.

PARKING POLICY
  • Free parking is provided for 1 car per room in the parking deck on Mulberry Street Lane. 
  • Parking is available on floors 2-4 of the parking deck. 
  • No parking on the first floor. Cars parked on the first floor are subject to towing.
  • Your code for the parking deck is listed on your welcome letter inside the room.
  • Paid street parking is available and can be paid with coins, credit card, or through the app (see instructions posted on parking meters).
  • We are not responsible for the well-being of your car or its belongings wherever it may be parked.
