Prepayment:
A 100% payment of the total stay is required to confirm your reservation
Semi-flexible:
- Up to 14 days prior to arrival: no cancellation fee, your deposit will be refunded
- As from 14 days prior to arrival: no refund. Your deposit will remain at your disposal for a rescheduled stay, in case of 'force majeure'. An official proof will have to be submitted.
- No show or unexpected departure: 100% of your deposit will be charged

Cancellations will not be processed unless we receive an official cancellation request by email at our mail address: contact@chamgaia.mu.
After you have canceled a booking, you will receive an email to confirm your cancellation at the e-mail address you provided at the time of booking.
To prevent any fraud, refunds (when applicable) will only be made to the credit card or bank account used to secure the original booking. Any booking /bank and/or credit card charges applied will be at The Guest’s expense.
APPLICABLE PROCEDURE IN CASE OF FLIGHT DELAY/CANCELLATION OR DUE TOUNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES (INCLUDING CYCLONES)
Guestsarriving on delayed flights but leaving on the scheduled date of departure: thewhole stay will be charged with no compensation.
Guestsarriving on delayed flights but spending the number of nights originally booked(subject to availability) at ChamGaia (i.e., delay = extension): the whole staywill be charged with no compensation.
Guestsarriving on the scheduled date but extending their stay at ChamGaia due tonon-operating flights: the extra nights will be charged at the same rate as theones The Guest booked at the time, he/she confirmed the reservation. This is tobe paid directly at ChamGaia upon the moment The Guest decides to extend.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Check-in:14:00You are required to present your confirmation when checking in at ChamGaia, in addition to a valid passport or ID.At the time of check-in, The Guest will be requested to fill in and sign a registration form.Check-out: 10:00(failure to do so shall result in The Client being billed for one extra night)
DAMAGE DEPOSIT
At check-in, a damage deposit of €300 (or its equivalent in Mauritian Rupees) will be required. This deposit will be taken in cash and will be returned upon check-out, provided that no damage to the property has occurred during your stay. An inventory of the premises is made on arrival and departure. You are given 12 hours after entering the accommodation to report any irregularities in the initial inventory, otherwise, the premises will be considered to have been handed over to you in the condition mentioned. Please take care of the premises, as it was your own, by keeping the interior & exterior areas in order and in good condition.
COMPLIANCE WITH ROOM OCCUPANCY
Upon reservation, The Guest agrees to comply strictly with the booked room occupancy at the time the reservation was confirmed.
The maximum occupancy of the property is 8 guests (children included). An occupancy above 8 guests will not be authorized.
In case the number of guests at the time of check-in or at any time during the stay exceeds the number of guests for which the original reservation was made, a supplement of MUR 5,000/night per additional guest will be payable in cash in MUR to The Host. The Guest shall accept the supplement charged for each additional guest for the full length of the booked stay.
USE OF THE PROPERTY
The property shall be for the exclusive use of The Guest. Subletting, sharing, or inviting outsiders is not permitted. Visitors are not allowed, except with prior permission of The Host. ChamGaia may not be used for any other purpose than that of holiday accommodation. Any other use must be approved in advance by The Host. The Guest shall not cause noise pollution that would in any way disturb the peace of ChamGaia’s neighbors. The property has a zero-tolerance noise policy. Loud music & parties are strictly forbidden. Any behaviour contrary to laws, good morals, and/or public order will result in The Host asking The Guest to leave the premises. In such a case, no compensation nor reimbursement shall be made by The Host. The Host shall also not be responsible for any damages or prejudice if any. This will be applied automatically and as of right, without The Host having to fulfill any judicial or extra-judicial formality. The Guest agrees and accepts to use the property responsibly and shall restore any damage caused to the premises by accepting to reimburse the cost of replacement or repair. If the premises were left in poor condition and additional cleaning is required, a fee of MUR 4,000 will be claimed and will be payable upon check-out.
CHILDREN
Children are welcome. However, the layout and environment of the lodge and the property are not easy when traveling with young children. Note that children must be under constant adult supervision as the property does not have a child security system or supervision. We shall not be responsible for any damages or prejudice if any.
HOUSE TEAM
The Guest shall authorize the ChamGaia personnel, housekeeping, and gardening team, to enter the premises during reasonable hours for standard operation intervention, and for inspection. We trust you will treat our team and their work with kindness and respect.
SUSTAINABILITY
The Guest shall respect ChamGaia’s sustainability practices as described in The House book.
ANIMALS
Animals, including pets and strays, are not permitted.
SECURITY
In case of personal injury, The Guest shall always contact his own insurance company. The Host cannot be held responsible for this process, but we are available if you need help. The Guest is fully responsible for taking care of all personal belongings and valuables. We recommend you make use of the 4-digit electronic safe placed in each bedroom. We cannot be held responsible in case of loss.
SMOKING
Smoking is allowed only in outdoor spaces. Kindly make use of ashtrays for cigarette buds and take all necessary precautions and safety measures to prevent fire for your own personal safety. Smoking in the bedrooms is strictly forbidden.
FIREWORKS
Fireworks are strictly forbidden.
