Seven Utes Yurt is Colorado Mountain School’s newest adventure basecamp, mountain lodge, and outdoor education center.  After years of guiding in the remote Cameron Pass area of Colorado, Colorado Mountain School is excited to share with you the endless opportunities to play and explore the vast rugged wilderness of State Forest State Park.

State Forest State Park currently requires combining lodging at our Seven Utes Yurt with a day of instruction or simply exploring a local area or objective with one of our expert guides.  From the Yurt’s doorstep you and your group can enjoy hiking in the summer and backcountry skiing, splitboarding, or snowshoeing in the winter!  We invite you to join us for a guided experience around Cameron Pass, and we welcome you to stay comfortably in our Seven Utes Yurt as many nights as you would like.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
A $100 processing fee will be deducted from full refunds for cancellations 30 days or more before the check-in date.  For cancellations 7 days or more before the check-in date, one night's stay and the $100 processing fee will be deducted from the refund.  Unfortunately no refunds are possible for cancellations less than 7 days before the check-in date.

  • Prices and Taxes
The $750 program surcharge fee covers guests' outdoor education programming with a Colorado Mountain School guide for one day to help groups of up to 12 settle in and safely explore the area hiking or snowshoeing as required by State Forest State Park.  When meeting with the guide, guests can choose between various instructional programs and local objectives like snowshoeing, backcountry skiing and/or split boarding, hiking, navigation, and more.  For outings with groups greater than 12 and for activities other than hiking or snowshoeing, the $750 program surcharge will work like a coupon to be applied toward Cameron Pass guiding activities offered on the Colorado Mountain School website www.ColoradoMountainSchool.com - please call our Service Team at 720.387.8944 or the Seven Utes Yurt Operations Manager at 907.947.8297 with questions or custom bookings.

All payment is due when the reservation is made.

  • Traveling with Minors
Minors must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Accessibility or Special Needs
The yurt is not wheelchair accessible because of stairs.

  • Parking
Plenty of parking is available at the Seven Utes Parking Area less than 100 yards from the yurt.  State Forest State Park fees apply.

  • Liability & Waiver
Guests agree not to hold Colorado Mountain School or State Forest State Park liable for any costs, damage, or injury incurred during their stay.
