Originally constructed in 1885, The Historic Hill House and Farm is a boutique hotel, restaurant, and event venue located between New Waverly and Coldspring, an hour north of Houston. Situated on 70 bucolic acres near the Sam Houston Forest, the Hill House and its team of dedicated professionals are dedicated to giving its guests a unique and memorable experience. Our guests enjoy the spectacular country setting, our historic and reclaimed facilities, and a range of activities and amenities, including two swimming pools, hiking trails, fishing ponds, yard games, farm animals, and spa services.
Hotel - Our 16-room boutique hotel features posh accommodations and a range of room styles and options to satisfy the most discerning travelers. Housed in various historic and new buildings, our rooms feature antique and custom furnishes, Matouk bed and bath linens, L'Occitane bath products, and many modern amenities to provide an exceptional stay.
Food & Beverage Program - Dining at the Hill House is an experience. Our various meal offerings change regularly and feature local products. Formal meals are served in the dining barn, which was created using two relocated 1840s antique barns. The space is rustic, yet refined - a perfect complement to our style of cuisine. Guests are invited to come out early and enjoy our 70 acres, picturesque views, and gorgeous surroundings. Casual lunch and dinner are available at Pine Hill Bistro, a custom food trailer featuruing elevate country cuisine.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Deposits are refundable, less a $50 administrative fee per room, if cancelled at least 14 days in advance of arrival. At 14 days prior to arrival, we will charge the remaining balance to the credit card on file. Cancellation within 14 days of arrival is non-refundable. Reducing the length of stay within 14 days of your arrival is considered a cancellation. To mitigate this risk, we recommend that you consider the purchase of travel insurance.

Smoking: Our property is a smoke-free facility. There is no smoking allowed indoors or outdoors. There is a $250 penalty for violating the policy.
Alcohol: Under Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) rules, no outside alcoholic beverages are permitted on the property.
Damages: Any damages to hotel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card on file. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.
Property Risks: Please remember that you are in the country and will be exposed to nature. As such, be aware that risks abound, including, but not limited to the following: snakes and other wild and potentially dangerous animals, poisonous plants, and dangerous terrain. If you are injured or feel at risk, please call 911 and/or let the staff know.
Arrival and Departure: Check-in is between 4 pm and 6 pm. Please let us know if you are arriving after 6 pm. Check out is 11 am. Quiet hours on the property are from 10 pm to 8 am.
Children: Please let us know if you are bringing children with you for your stay. Minor children must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the property. The responsible adult must agree to not leave a minor child unattended on the premises at any time during their stay and to control the minor's behavior during their stay so as to preserve the expected peace and quiet of other guests and to prevent any injury to any person or damage to any property.
Additional Guests: Specific rooms with pullout sofas will allow for up to four additional guests. There is an additional charge of $25 plus taxes and 20% service charge per person per night. To maintain exclusivity to overnight guests, visitors not staying on the property are not allowed unless dining in the restaurant.
Pets: We love animals, but unfortunately, we are a pet-free property.
Dining: The restaurant at This Historic Hill House and Farm is open to hotel guests only for breakfast and lunch (except Sunday Brunch). Breakfast is served in the dining room from 9 am through 10 am. Lunch is available from noon until 2 pm. Dinner is by reservation only. Dinner seating runs from 5 pm through 8 pm. Our 5 pm dinner service is reserved for those guests with children under the age of 10. Reservations are required for dinner and Sunday brunch service.
Gratuities: The Historic Hill House and Farm is a gratuity-free property. Our staff is compensated competitively through our stated rates and 20% service charge that is applied to all services.
Dress Code: The Historic Hill House and Farm is a casual facility, but we request guests adhere to a business casual standard for the dining room. Also, shoes and shirts are required in the restaurant and common areas at all times.
