These general Terms and Conditions apply to all guests staying at Selous River Camp, and govern all services including accommodation, safaris, meals, drinks, and use of facilities.

Booking and Reservations
Reservations can be made directly via our website, email, phone, or through third-party booking platforms. Alterations and cancellations of existing reservations must be made in writing to reservations@theslowleopard.com A valid passport or government-issued ID is required for check-in, & to purchase guest park entrance permits. Guests must be 18 years or older to make a booking or stay in our rooms & tents. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. 

Check-in / Check-out
Check-in: From 1:00 PM
Check-out: By 11:00 AM
Early check-in or late check-out is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee.

Rates and Payment Policy
All prices are listed in dollars (USD) and include applicable local taxes. A deposit of 25% is required to confirm a booking. The balance of the payment is due 30 days before the date of arrival. If the booking is made in under 30 days, payment in full is required. Unless otherwise agreed in writing. Reservations will be held for 7 days without a deposit, after which time the reservation will be automatically released.We accept cash, credit/debit cards (3% surcharge), bank transfers and selected mobile payment platforms (M-Pesa).

Cancellations and No-Shows
Once your booking has been confirmed and the deposit paid, cancellation charges apply as follows: 

• Bookings cancelled 30 days prior to arrival date – receive a full refund
• Bookings cancelled between 30 to 15 days prior to arrival date – 50% of reservation value shall apply.
• Bookings cancelled between 14 days to 7 days prior to arrival date – 75% of reservation value shall apply.
• Bookings cancelled less than 7 days prior to arrival date and no shows – 100% of reservation value shall apply. 

Please note that the cost of processing any refunds (i.e. bank transfer fees) are to be paid by the client and would be taken out of the value of the refund amount.

Camp Facilities and Rules
Opening hours: 6:00 AM – 11:00 PM daily
Breakfast: Served daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM
Lunch: Served daily from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM
Dinner: Served daily from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Free WiFi available in bar & restaurant area
There are wild animals so walking around camp at night alone is not permitted

Loss and Damages
Lost key: TSH 15,000 charge
Lost towel: TSH 20,000 charge
Guests are responsible for any intentional or negligent damage to camp property and may be charged accordingly.

Smoking and Alcohol
Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms or any enclosed areas. No outside alcohol is permitted on the premises. Alcohol is available for purchase at the bar, to those over the age of 18. The bar reserves the right to refuse service to any guest who appears intoxicated or behaves inappropriately.

Conduct and Behavior
Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Disruptive or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the property without refund.Guests must respect the comfort and privacy of others in shared spaces.

Liability
The camp is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Private rooms have safes fitted, & there is a safe with the camp manager for guests staying in tents, guests are encouraged to use them. The camp is not responsible for any delays or failure in service due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).

Privacy and Data
Personal information is collected and stored securely for the purposes of reservation management and communication. It will not be shared without consent, except as required by law.

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Disputes shall be handled in the appropriate legal forums within Tanzania. Selous River Camp is managed by The Slow Leopard Tanzania Limited TIN: 135-158-798 VRN: 40029114A Plot 1829/11 Chole Rd, Masaki, Dar es Salaam. Selous River Camp is the registered trading name of Patrick and Kenneth Rest Camp Ltd. of TIN Number 104-346-154 and VRN: 40-016948-B. Selous River Camp and The Slow Leopard Tanzania Ltd. reserve the right to make changes to the activity plan or itinerary whenever, in their judgement, conditions warrant or if they deem it necessary for the safety, comfort or convenience of the clients/guests. Selous River Camp and The Slow Leopard Tanzania Ltd. reserve the right to withdraw any activity or accommodation booked, without penalty. Selous River Camp and The Slow Leopard Tanzania Ltd. also reserves the right to decline to provide accommodation or services to any person if at any time such action is determined by the appropriate staff member to be in the best interests of the health, safety and general welfare of the individual person or other guests to the camp. Under such circumstances no refund will be made. Baggage and personal effects are solely the responsibility of the owners at all times. Dates, itineraries and costs are given in good faith, based on information available at the time and are subject to change and revision.
All guests to Selous River Camp are required to sign a Release of Liability upon check in as a prerequisite to provision of services.
By staying at Selous River Camp, guests agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
