Ix Chel Wellness Resort Cancellation Policy:To be eligible for a full refund of your booking, less the $100 USD reservation fee, cancellations must be received greater than 60 days prior to your scheduled arrival date. After this period, your payment is forfeited, and no refund will be issued for cancellations received within 60 days of arrival.Holiday Season: For bookings during the holiday season (e.g., Christmas, New Year, Easter, Spring Break, Lobster Festival, Carnaval, Halloween weekends), cancellations must be received greater than 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival date to be eligible for a full refund, less the $100 USD reservation fee. Cancellations received less than 90 days prior to the scheduled arrival date are non-refundable.We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against travel delays caused by weather, illness, or personal circumstances preventing your travel.In exceptional cases of dire hardship, Ix Chel Wellness Resort reserves the right to determine if a full refund, discount, or future stay credit is warranted. Below is an explanation of all of the Reservation Policies. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies. We look forward to your stay with Ix Chel!
Resort Reservation Policy:
Ix Chel is an adults only resort so we are only able to accommodate guests 18 years of age and over, Casitas are set up for a maximum of 2 people. If you were to choose to rent the resort as a whole for a special event(i.e. wedding) it is at the discretion of Ix Chel Management to decide if anyone under the age of 18 would be able to stay at the resort. We are also a concierge hotel and if requested would be happy to refer families in your party with young children to a more child-friendly accommodation.
Belize Tourist Accommodation Tax:
The Belize Tourism Board, as the governing body of tourism in Belize, plays a vital role in enhancing and promoting the country's tourism offerings. As part of this, a Belize Tourism Tax of 9% will be applied upon the completion of your stay to support the continued development and sustainability of Belize's tourism industry.
The Resort Accomodations:
Accommodations are for the use of Ix Chel guests only. Daily housekeeping for your casita is provided by our staff. Since we are an off-grid resort we do not wash/change linens daily. For accomodations with 4 nights or less linens will not be changed. For accommodations that have 5 nights or more, they will be changed every 4th day. If you would like to request to have the linens changed more often it will be at a daily rate of $50 BZ. The fee will be charged to the credit card on file. If any damages to the resort or casita occur as a result of your stay additional charges may be applied to your credit card.
Noise and Safety:
Ix Chel management is responsible for maintaining the energy of the property and any noise or nuisance to the healing space we have created will be dealt with promptly. If Ix Chel Management recieves any noise or nuisance complaints and the guests are not responsive to keeping the sacredness of the healing space, Ix Chel reserves the right to evict guests without notice.
Non-Smoking Resort:
Ix Chel Wellness Resort is a Non-Smoking Resort. If a guest is found to be smoking within the resort/casitas additional charges will be applied to their credit card at the discretion of Ix Chel Management related to the damages incurred.
Resort Parking:
Ix Chel has designated parking areas for resort guests ONLY. All parking is first come first serve and you are responsible for your golf cart rental and personal belongings.
Resort Events:
Ix Chel Wellness Resort will be hosting many events of all kinds. If you choose to participate in an event Ix Chel Wellness Resort is not liable for any delay, loss, injury, death, or accident that occurs either directly or indirectly with the event. Ix Chel is not responsible for any expense caused by the loss or damage of any personal items, late arrivals, delay of promised events, transportation, or schedule delays. The person choosing to attend an event at Ix Chel Wellness Resort agrees to not hold Ix Chel Wellness Resort liable for circumstances beyond its control.
