Los Castaños is a small charming rural boutique hotel located in an unmapped Pueblo Blanco just 14 km from Ronda, the busy tourist town in Andalucia. We are close enough to enjoy the gastronomic, cultural and historical attractions of Ronda but far enough away that you can escape to the peace of the mountains and countryside in just fifteen minutes.

We love what we do and are so happy to share this undiscovered and beautiful part of Andalucia with like-minded discerning guests who appreciate the peace and the beauty. Our guests come from all over the world to explore the ancient settlement of Ronda but escape to the peace of the mountains after visiting the busy monuments. They come to hike the pristine Walking Trails that connect the seven villages of the undiscovered Alto Genal Valley, part of the Serrania de Ronda, using our detailed and researched route notes.
Located in the centre of Andalucia, curious travellers use us as a base to experience the romantic cities of southern Spain: Sevilla, Granada, Jerez, Malaga, Cordoba, Cadiz. All of these are just a day trip away either by road or train for Malaga and Cordoba.Birdwatchers and nature-lovers revel in the diversity of birds, Spring flowers, and Autumn colours. A recent guest counted 102 species of wild flowers on a hike one day during her visit, some of them new for her.
A speciality of the area is the wild orchids. Our guests also come to chill. To relax on our rooftop terrace with its hypnotic mountain vistas whilst still in touch with the outside world using our free wifi. They read books from our extensive library, enjoy the many board games that we provide, get addicted to Yahtzee? and enjoy the social atmosphere that more often than not prevails at Los Castaños.

We love and welcome children. Please bear in mind that this is a small village with few fun amenities for kids. But a lot of nature around.
We have one room on the ground floor that is wheelchair accessible or suitable for guests not wishing to climb stairs.
Parking is free in the quiet village streets close to the hotel. We will valet park if you ring us before you arrive.
