The Sanctuary On Huron River is located about 25 minutes from the airport and only 35 minutes from Downtown Detroit. The grounds are beautifully landscaped while preserving it's natural beauty. We offer walking trails, wild life of all sorts, including deer, ducks, Canadian geese, Blue Herons, Swans, Sandhill Cranes, rabbits, possums, raccoons, an occasional coyote, and over 40 different species of birds; truly a bird watchers and nature's lovers paradise. Enjoy a gourmet breakfast, served on beautiful vintage china, while watching the birds from our large dine in kitchen window, outdoors on the patio; or at the picnic table near the Huron River with our pack and go Continental Breakfast of fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, and fresh baked pastries. With only two cozy, beautifully appointed guests rooms; our guests will receive 1st class service and attention. The Living Room is a gathering room where you can relax, read a book, visit with other guests or watch a movie or a sports event on our large screen TV. In the winter months the fireplace is a wonderful addition to the ambience. Bedroom number one, is "The Rose Room". It features an antique Mahogany bedroom set with an ensuite half bath. The shared full bath, shower, and jetted tub are directly across the hall. Free Wi-Fi and Cable TV. Fresh flowers greet our guests upon arrival, and there is also a welcome basket filled with Made in Michigan treats for our guests to enjoy. The second bedroom is "The North Room", a bright, beautifully decorated room that will have you feeling rested, uplifted and inspired...On most morning you can enjoy the beautiful morning sunrays peeping through the east window. The shared bath is directly down the hall, with a shower, and jetted tub. We have beautiful cotton robes for our guests to use during their stay along with complementary slippers. Our guests will enjoy a gourmet breakfast, and homemade treats and snacks will be available through out the day at our hospitality station. We offer a daily cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres and your choice of soft drinks, mocktails, cocktails or local wine selections. It is our desire for each guests to enjoy a VIP experience.
