Autonomy of Schöndorf HostelSchöndorf Hostel is a state of the art, fully autonomous, self check-in Hostel right in the heart of Bratislava’s Old Town. Stripped from all tedious reception based procedures, we decided to build Schöndorf Hostel around an intelligent system, which allows the guest to be in charge of all formalities, comfortably and at their own convenience. Upon arrival - instead of a traditional reception you get a spacious common room to either use our designated tablets, or your own smartphone to go through the intuitive self check-in. You can also use our pre check-in option, which is emailed to you right upon booking confirmation. 

Access PIN code, Pre check-in vs. Self check-inYour booking confirmation e-mail contains a 4 digit PIN code. This e-mail offers you an option to pre check-in. If you decide to use the pre check-in option, your access PIN code will give you access all the way to your room and room control(lights, air-condition, etc.)If you decide not to use the pre check-in option, your access PIN code gives you access through both gates at the property, all the way to the self check-in area. In the self check-in area, you can user either a designated tablet, or your own smart device, to fill out the check-in form. After doing so, your 4 digit PIN code starts working for your room and room control as well.

Terms of BookingBy placing a booking with Schöndorf Hostel you (the lead guest) and your booking party (guests) agree to the following terms and conditions as set-out. During your stay you agree to abide by the subsequent conditions as set-out. If you have any questions about booking with us, please contact us before making a booking.
To place a booking with us the lead guest must be at least 16 years of age. The maximum number of staying guests per room is illustrated in the room occupancy details on the website, or room description on third party webistes - such as eg www.booking.com, www.cloudbeds.com. Where the person making the booking is different to the lead guest taking up the occupation, the person making the booking may be held responsible for cancellation, non-arrival and damages as set-out within. Only the lead guest and the named booking party are allowed to use the property and its facilities, any third party visitors are only allowed access at our express permission.

Payments can be made online by credit card, if not specified otherwise. Any charges raised against us by our banks for handling dishonoured payments, bank transfers or any other payments, must be reimbursed by the lead guest within seven (7) days of any request to do so.
All guests agree to respect the privacy and peace of all other staying guests, neighbours and the owners at all times. We reserve the right to cancel a booking with immediate effect if guests are not honouring this agreement or causing a disturbance / nuisance to other guests, neighbours or the owners.
Check-in & Check-outGuests must check-in and check-out by the times stated below:

• Check-in by: 15:00 on day of arrival - your access PIN code becomes live.
• Check-out by: 10:00 am on day of departure - your access PIN code resets and no longer gives you access to your room.

Cancellation, Refunds & Non-Arrival ConditionsGuest who need to cancel a booking should contact us as soon as possible. General policy on refunds is as follows:
Non-refundable

• The guest will be charged the total price if they cancel anytime.
• The guest will be charged a prepayment of the total price anytime.

Non-arrival guests, who are unable to attend or fail to attend for whatever reason forfeit the full amount of the booking price. It is suggested that booking guests take out appropriate holiday / cancellation insurance where required.In the rare event we need to cancel your booking with us, please be aware that we cannot be held liable for circumstances beyond our control and that our liability to you is limited to the refund of any payment already made.

Damages & Lost PropertyWe reserve the right to charge the lead guest for any damages caused through the course of a booking by any member of the booking party. This includes breakages, spillages, stains, damage to furniture or fixtures and fittings. Any accidental damages should be reported as soon as possible in order to minimise damage and associated costs.
Any lost property, if discovered and found, left behind by guests during a stay will be held for a period of 1 month. While we will make our best efforts to reunite lost property with their owners we accept no responsibility in replacing lost items and encourage guests to ensure they have all their belonging before checking-out. We may offer to post lost items via recorded delivery at the cost of the property owner, otherwise collection can be arranged.

SmokingSmoking of any tobacco products including, but not limited to cigarettes, pipes, cigars, snuff or chewing tobacco, is prohibited in the whole property, except the terrace. The smoking policy is mapped accordingly as sign posted throughout the accommodation.
Pets & Service DogsWe do not accept pets throughout the accommodation, except for service dogs.
ParkingSchöndorf Hostel does not offer a parking place. However in case you are travelling by car and looking for a convenient parking place - you will find it only 100m away from Schöndorf Hostel at Radlinskeho Street, just pick a place which is not marked with an X(these are reserved). Parking on Radlinskeho is paid only from 8:00 till 16:00 from Monday till Friday - 1.8€ for 90 minutes or 8€ for the whole day, you can pay at conveniently located parkomats. Any other time(for example on weekends) the parking is free.

Your Personal Details & PrivacyWe are required to keep a register of guests over the age of 16 who stay with us, this includes full names and nationality, and/or passport numbers, place of issue, details of next destination if they are not EU citizens.Our policy surrounding the personal details you provide as part of any booking or enquiry through this website / or third party website, including the privacy of those details are explained and set out in our Privacy Policy which you can read here.You accept that any entries you make to an on-site guest book, if available, will not contain personal information or details you would not want disclosed. Any entries containing personal details that may fall into the DPA and GDPR may be removed and destroyed.

Our Right To CancellationWe reserve the right to cancel any booking without compensation, refund or reimbursement if the terms of these conditions are breached.
