Deposits & Payments: Reservations require an initial payment of 1 night in advance, which is due at the time the reservation is made. In the event the payment method is declined, a new credit card must be provided within 24 hours or the reservation will be cancelled. On the day of arrival, prior to check-in, an authorization (or hold) will be placed on the credit card on file for the remaining balance due of the reservation total. The authorized amount will be processed upon check-out. Any items or services added during the reservation, as well as any changes made to the reservation, will be accounted for prior to completing the transaction. The Inn at Houndslake strives to maintain a safe, quiet and pleasant environment for all guests. To ensure this, we have adopted the following policies. By securing a reservation, guests acknowledge that they have read and agree with the following policies.

Arrival and Departure:
To help you plan your day and your travel arrangements, please observe the following regulations:
Check in time is 3:00 PM. Special arrangements have to be made at least 48 hours in advance for any early check-in before 3:00PM. Check out time is 11:00 AM. Late check-out upon request for a fee and subject to availability.
Breakfast: We serve a continental breakfast each morning from 7:00am - 10:00am. For your convenience we have two coffee stations available, one located in the lobby and a Keurig in the breakfast room.
Check-In Policy: The minimum check-in age is 21. For any credit card payments made to The Inn at Houndslake (i.e. for items such as, but not limited to, reservation deposit, nightly room rate, taxes, incidentals, or other fees, etc.) the cardholder must be present at check-in and a valid form of identification will be required. Failure to do so may result in immediate cancellation of reservation and denial of room assignment. All unregistered guests will be asked to sign in on arrival.
Per our lodging regulations, we can only accept credit cards issued in your name, matching the Identification or passport.
Non-Transferable Policy: Reservations are not transferable, and reservation name changes are not permitted.
Children: While best suited for children over 12 years of age, all well behaved children are welcome in designated rooms. Please call us if you make a reservation and have children below 12 years, so we can advise you on the most suitable room.
Important to note is that: The Inn at Houndslake is furnished in fine upholstery and antiques, and we will have no choice but to assess and charge you for any damage during your stay. Many guests choose our property for its elegance and quiet atmosphere, and the hosts have a responsibility to assure their comfort. We will address any issues with you.
Room keys on arrival
During normal working hours the keys will be handed over to the guest after payment and administration. A valid state ID or passport and credit card in the guests' name is required during check-in.
Lost key or damage to locks
The cost for replacement of lost room keys or damaged locks is applicable and a total amount of $15 per key for lost keys and $100 for lock replacement to be paid immediately.
No Smoking Policy: All of our rooms are non-smoking and any guests found to have been smoking, vaping, or using an e-cigarette in the room will be assessed a fee for additional cleaning of $250. There are selected areas of the property where outside smoking is permitted. All of our rooms are private property and deemed drug-free zones, and therefore do not allow the use or possession of illegal drugs and/or marijuana on property, regardless of state legalization laws on recreational or medical use. Persons found to be in violation of this Policy may be subject to applicable Trespass laws. The company expects that these individuals will comply with all provisions of this policy.
There will be no refunds for early departures or shortened stay.
No candles permitted in all guest rooms. Please do not use guest rooms for any purposes other than accommodation.
Valuables, security and storage
The management is not responsible for lost items. Please lock the doors when you leave. Management takes responsible steps to ensure the safety and security of all guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security. Keep rooms locked at all times when absent.
Parking is available free of charge for all house guests. Do not leave any valuables inside your car while it is parked. The Inn at Houndslake cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any such articles while your car is parked.
The Swimming Pool: The pool is a available for your enjoyment from 10:00AM until 8:000PM between Memorial Day and Labor Day. There is no lifeguard on duty, hotel guests are to use responsible judgement. Keep the pool area neat and clean at all times. Keep noise level at the pool area low. If you’re part of a group stay, try to maintain occupancy time & rate at acceptable levels as the other guests may also want to enjoy the pool.
No glassware allowed at the pool area.
Pet Policy: The Inn at Houndslake welcomes your pet under the conditions outlined below. ·
The pet owner agrees to the following conditions and agrees to pay a nonrefundable pet fee per pet:
o For a stay of 1-3 days: $50 per pet
o 4-7 day stay: $100 per pet
o More than 7 days: $150 per pet·The Inn has limited guest rooms to accommodate you and your pet. These rooms are rented on a space available basis and have easy, convenient access to a wooded area to exercise your dog.· No more than 2 pets will be allowed in a guest room.· Pets weighing up to 35 pounds are allowed. Cats require special permission from the owner of The Inn at Houndslake. · Kindly ensure pets are supervised and remain on a leash at all times while outside of guestroom. · The pet must be house broken, flea free, not prone to shedding, and not prone to damaging property. · Guests are responsible for any damages to the room and its contents. There is an extra pet cleaning fee if evidence of excessive pet hair is found in the guest room. The cost to repair any damage done by a guest’s pet, such as chewing furniture, staining carpet or mattresses (pet urine) will be charged against the guest’s credit card and/or deducted from the damage deposit, and the guest will be charged for carpet cleaning, odor removal, etc.· Pets may be left unattended in your room. However,if you leave the pet unattended in your room, the pet should be left in a crate or pet carrier while you are gone. The owner’s cell phone number must be on file with the front desk if you leave your pet unattended.· Noise/Disruption Complaints – Barking and any other noise which is disruptive to other guests is unacceptable. Upon receipt of two complaints, the guest may be asked to make alternate arrangements for their pet.· Pets are not allowed on the furniture or beds, unless a protective cover is used provided by guest.· Kindly maintain responsibility for your pet’s waste. For your convenience, there is a Pet Station near the rear door on the lower level.· Housekeeping Service – The pet must be removed from the room prior to the scheduled housekeeping service or other arrangements must be made with management.· Aggressive or unruly dogs are not welcome for the safety of other guests.
The owners of the hotel are dedicated to the protection of our planets resources and would encourage our guests to help us by:
Switching off lights when not in use;
Ensuring that faucets are always turned off after use;
Avoiding the unnecessary use of towels – kindly use just what you need.
For the protection of our guests, employees, and property, video and audio recording equipment is in use.
