Gorge View is a perfectly located Hostel on the Niagara Gorge at the north end of Niagara Falls State Park. We are directly across from the Aquarium of Niagara and Gorge Discovery Center. Walking from our front door, you'll get your first glimpse of the waterfalls in less than five minutes and be standing at the brink in 15 minutes. The Niagara Gorge Trail system starts on our door step allowing taking you to incredible vistas along the cliff or immerse your self in the natural beauty and wonder below it. From May to October the free Discover Niagara Shuttle can take you from the Aquarium to Lake Ontario. This hop-on, hop-off bus takes you on a 14 mile journey along the Niagara Gorge and Lower Niagara River allowing you to explore several state parks and visit historical sites and even take in various museums; Fort Niagara, Power Vista, Underground Railroad Museum and the Castellani Art Museum.
Built in 1879 our building predates the founding of the City of Niagara Falls and is one of the oldest commercial structures in Niagara Falls. Since 2014, the Patrons of Gorge View have been contributing not only to the restoration of this historic property but the modernization as well. We are steadily improving the property to preserve the historic character and artifacts of an age of extraordinary architectural craftsmanship yet upgrading the electrical and heating systems which are now 100 years old (dating back to a major 1919 renovation) the fact that the building still operates well with such antiquated systems is itself a testament to Niagara Falls' contribution to the industrialization of America. At that time the original Niagara Falls hydro electric plant was across the street from Gorge View.
While low on amenity Gorge View provides great value to visitors of Niagara Falls making it easy to get far more out of their time here than virtually any other property. There are dozens of restaurants in walking distance. We are located exactly 1 mile from the train station, a block from the municipal bus stops and less than a mile from the Bus Stop for those who arrive from other major metropolitan areas like NYC or Chicago.

Terms and Conditions
Check-in is between 3pm and 7pm. We accept luggage from incoming guests after 11am and hold luggage for outgoing guests until 7pm.
Late check-ins can be facilitated between 7pm and midnight for an additional $20 fee (can be reduced depending on advance notice and guest communication). There are NO check-ins after midnight under any circumstances what so ever.
Guests who have not coordinated a late check-in and have not arrived by 7pm will be considered a no-show with applicable cancellation charges. We do not accept local residents as guests and proof of onward travel is required.Gorge View reserves the right to collect payment anytime within the cancellation window or in accordance with third party booking terms and conditions. All payment is collected NLT guest check in.
Children are welcome in all private rooms, however only children over 12 may stay in dorms when accompanied by a parent. If a party has booked all beds in a single dorm it will be treated as a private room with regards to minors.
