Formerly the Swiss-Aire Motel, we purchased the lovely roadside motel in early 2023 and breathed new life into the rooms, brand, and guest experience. Fully renovating many of the rooms and refreshing a few others to ensure that we had a wide variety of pricing and value options for all sorts of travellers.
You’ll quickly find that we’ve aimed to create a modern, effortless, and easy guest experience. We collect full payment at the time of booking to expedite check-in, allowing you to promptly begin your adventures or relaxation here at The Blanc Chalet! Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival (by 3:00 PM) will incur a $50 cancellation fee, and the remaining balance will be refunded. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before check-in (3:00 PM) or no-shows will be charged the full rate for the first night's stay. Additional nights will be canceled and refunded.The Blanc Chalet is not responsible for travel interruptions due to weather, natural disasters, pandemics, airline disruptions, incorrectly booked dates, illness, or changes in plans.Reservations without a 100% deposit are not guaranteed, and we reserve the right to cancel such reservations and notify you by email. Note: Reservations made on external platforms (e.g., Airbnb) are subject to their policies. If you booked via a third party, please contact that booking site for alterations or cancellations.
Reservation and Check-In/Check-Out Policy
Technology is our concierge! With a door code to access your room, we are available 24/7, but we do not have a representative on the premises at all times. If you need assistance upon arrival, please contact us via email (hello@theblancchalet.com) or through the SMS conversation we’ve started. Your door codes will activate at check-in (3:00 PM) and deactivate at check-out (11:00 AM).
Valid ID and Credit Card
A valid photo ID of the booking adult will be requested through SMS prior to receiving your room key code. A valid credit card on file is required for booking confirmation.
Minors
Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and may not be left unattended.
Minimum Age for Booking
Guests must be 21 years or older to confirm guest room accommodations at The Blanc Chalet. A valid photo ID will be required for age verification.
Room Rates and Taxes
Our room rates are in line with other rooms in the area and are subject to change. All rooms are subject to a 10.5% tax (5.5% State of Wisconsin, 5% Village of New Glarus).
Occupancy
We love when friends and family travel together! Please keep our maximum occupancy rules in mind: 2 people maximum for rooms with a single king bed, 4 people maximum for double queen room, 6 people maximum for the family suite room
Pet Policy
We welcome dogs (maximum of 2 per room) but do not allow other pets. Guests MUST book a pet-friendly room, clean up after their pets, and minimize barking. The pet fee is included in the price of the pet-friendly room.Unauthorized pets in non-pet-friendly rooms will incur a $250 fee and may result in reservation cancellation. Pets are not allowed in shared spaces like the lobby, fire pit area, or patio. Owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets, and extra cleaning fees may apply if rooms are excessively dirty due to pets. Dogs must not be left unattended in rooms unless in a crate.If your pet sheds heavily or has an accident in the room, a cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file to restore the room to its pre-arrival condition. If your pet causes damage to property or items, an incidental fee will be charged at market value to your credit card on file.
Accessibility
At The Blanc Chalet, we are committed to ensuring that all of our guests have an enjoyable and accessible experience. While our property is all one level, please note that there are a few steps required to access the rooms and to step from the parking lot to the sidewalk.Please be aware that we do not have officially designated ADA rooms, and our bathrooms are relatively small. However, all bathrooms are equipped with grab bars to assist with stepping over the tub edge or entering the walk-in shower, which has a 4-inch curb.Additionally, the doorways to our rooms are not 36 inches wide, which may present challenges for guests using mobility devices.We encourage guests with specific accessibility needs to contact us directly prior to their stay so that we can assist with accommodations and make every effort to ensure a comfortable experience.If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Damages and Losses
Guests are responsible for any damage to The Blanc Chalet property during their stay, including rooms, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment. Charges for repairs or replacement will be made to the credit card on file.
- Accidental Damage: If you accidentally damage any property, please inform our staff immediately. Prompt reporting can help mitigate additional costs.
- Deliberate Damage: Any deliberate damage will be reported to law enforcement, and the guest will be responsible for the full cost of repairs and legal fees.
- Loss of Revenue: If the damage causes a room to be unavailable for subsequent guests, the responsible guest will be charged for the lost revenue.
Smoking
Our buildings are all non-smoking. Any smoking in rooms or strong lingering smoking scents will result in a $200 cleaning fee. Our fire detectors are sensitive, and any detected smoke will trigger a fire alarm, requiring everyone to evacuate while the fire department inspects the property. You are welcome to smoke in the designated smoking area on the patio at the front of the property. All smoking must be at least 20 feet from any doors to our buildings.
Parking
Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. By parking at our property, you (and your guests) do so at your own risk. The Blanc Chalet is not responsible for damage, accidents, or loss to your vehicle or personal property.If you wish to leave your vehicle in our parking lot after checking out, please let us know. We reserve the right to tow vehicles if necessary.
Housekeeping
We are a small property, so room refreshes are not offered for shorter stays. For fresh towels or linen, feel free to reach out, and we’ll provide them. We also have two self-serve stations on the property for any extra items you may need.
Fire Pit Safety and Waiver of Liability
The fire pit at The Blanc Chalet is for the exclusive use of registered guests. Fires must be attended at all times and should never be left unattended. Use of the fire pit is at the guest’s own risk. The Blanc Chalet is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or property damage resulting from fire pit use. Guests must ensure the fire is completely extinguished before leaving the area. Minors under 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Horseplay, throwing objects into the fire, and using flammable liquids to start or maintain the fire are prohibited. Please maintain a safe distance from the fire pit and keep all furniture and belongings away.
Natural Disasters and Unforeseen Events
The Blanc Chalet is not responsible for any loss, damage, or inconvenience caused by natural disasters, or other events beyond its control (e.g., power outages, severe weather, or government actions). While we will make reasonable efforts to assist, we cannot guarantee refunds or compensation in such cases.
Guest Safety and Privacy
For guest safety, we use cameras throughout the property. Any presence on our property may be recorded. We will not disclose guest identities, room numbers, or presence to anyone except law enforcement. Guests are responsible for communicating their room number and presence to anyone they wish to receive calls or visits from.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Blanc Chalet's total liability for any claims arising from your stay will not exceed the amount paid for the stay. The Blanc Chalet is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Conduct and Quiet Hours
Guests must conduct themselves in a respectful manner and refrain from disturbing others. Excessive noise or disruptive behavior may result in eviction without refund.
