Formerly the Swiss-Aire Motel, we purchased the lovely roadside motel in early 2023 and breathed new life into the rooms, brand, and guest experience. Fully renovating many of the rooms and refreshing a few others to ensure that we had a wide variety of pricing and value options for all sorts of travellers.

Please carefully read our cancellation policy. Rarely can we make any exceptions to this. Our receptionists are instructed to follow this policy and rules. So to save any misunderstanding we would be grateful if you can observe the following:
We collect full payment at the time of booking to expedite check-in, allowing you to promptly begin your adventures or relaxation here in New Glarus! Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled arrival (by 3:00 pm) will result in a $50 cancellation fee, with the remaining total refunded. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before check-in time (3:00 pm) or no-shows will be charged the full rate for the first night's stay and any additional nights will be cancelled.
Terms and Conditions
As of July 5,2010, smoking is prohibited in all lodging facilities in the state of Wisconsin per state statute 101,123. Lodging property owners and management do not have the authority to waive this regulation for guests, and are required by law to ask guests found smoking in the building to cease smoking immediately or vacate the building. If the individual does not cease smoking, the law requires that law enforcement be contacted for assistance, authorizing the issuing of a citation costing $150.00 per infraction, with some limitations.
In addition, the hotel can/will charge a $250.00 Cleaning fee to those illegally smoking/vaping/e-cigarettes in any room on the property.
NO PETS ALLOWED unless a reservation has been made in a pet friendly room. if you bring a pet(s) you will be charged at least a $250 deep cleaning fee.
Excessive staining on linens and towels will be evaluated by motel staff and charges will be made for cost of replacement.
We are not responsible for lost or left behind items in the room or on the property.
These Terms and conditions apply to the rental of hotel rooms for accommodation purposes well as all other goods and services rendered by the hotel for the customer. Subletting or renting to third parties or use other than accommodation purposes is strictly prohibited. The customers terms and conditions shall only apply if these were agreed to in advance. The contract shall come into force upon the hotels acceptance of the customers application. the hotel can elect to confirm the room reservation in writing. the contracting parties are the hotel and customer. Should a third party have booked a room on behalf of a customer, then that third party and the customer shall be liable to the hotel as joint debtors for all obligations arising from the hotel accommodations contract, insofar as the hotel has received corresponding statement from the third party. The hotel is liable for its contractual obligations. The liability for wrongful intent and gross negligence claims in areas outside the scope of typical services is limited. the limitation of claim for all customer claims is 6 month. The above restricted liability and short limitation period shall also apply to the hotels benefit in cases where obligations have been violated in the contract proposal or positive contractual obligations.
The hotel is obligated to reserve the room booked by the customer and to render the agreed services. The customer is obligated to pay the agreed or applicable prices for the room and any other services he or she makes use of. This also applies to the hotels services and outlays to third parties required by the customer. The agreed prices include currently applicable value added tax. Should the period between the conclusion and performance of contract exceed 4 months and should the hotels price or or the services agreed upon be raised in general, the hotel may increase the agreed price appropriately, but no more than 10%. Moreover, prices may be changed by the hotel if the customer requests changes to the number of rooms reserved, hotel services or length of stay subsequent to conclusion of contract, and the hotel consents to the changes. Hotel bills not stating a due date are to be paid in full within 10 days after receipt without deductions. The hotel is entitled to call for the immediate payment of accrued charges at any time. Should payment be delayed, the hotel is entitled to add interest at 4% over the current discount rate. The customer has the right to prove lesser damage and the hotel has the right to prove greater damage. The hotel is entitled, during or after the conclusion of contract, to demand and advance payment or appropriate deposit for package tours in accordance with legal regulations. The amount of advance payment and the payment schedule may be agreed in writing. The customer may only offset or reduce a hotel claim with an undisputed or legally binding claim.
A customer may only cancel the contract made with the hotel if the written consent of the hotel is given. If written consent is not given, the customer is obligated to pay the agreed contractual price even if the customer doesn't avail themselves of the contractually agreed services. This shall not apply in the event of statutory delay in performance on the part of the hotel or in the case of impossibility of performance for which the hotel can be held responsible. Insofar as a cancellation date has been agreed upon in writing between the hotel and customer, the customer can cancel the contract before the date without being obligated to meet payment or damage claims asserted by the hotel. The customer s right to withdraw from the contract shall expire if the customer fails to exercise their right to withdraw in writing, provided that there is no delay in performance on the part of the hotel or impossibility of performance for which the hotel can be held responsible. If the rooms are not used by the customer, the hotel shall credit the earnings and saved expenses from renting the rooms to other parties.The hotel is entitled to demand a lump sum compensation from the customer for the claims accruing to it. In the case the customer is obligated to pay 80% of the contractually agreed price for accommodation with breakfast, 70% for half pension and 60% for full pension arrangements. The customer can elect to prove that no damage has arisen or that less damage has arisen than demanded in the lump sum compensation.
If the customers right to withdraw from the contract within a certain period of time has been agreed in writing, the hotel, for its part, is entitled to withdraw from the contract within this period if there are requests from other customers for the contractually reserved rooms and if the customer, upon further inquiry by the hotel, does not waive their rights of withdrawal. If an agreed advance payment is not made by the customer within due time or even after a reasonable grace period set by the hotel under refusal warning, then the hotel is entitled to cancel the contract. Furthermore, the hotel is entitled to effect an extraordinary cancellation of the contract for reasons which are justified on factual grounds, for example if: a) force of nature or other circumstances for which the hotel cannot be held responsible make it impossible to fulfill the contract. b) rooms were reserved under misleading or false statements regarding, for example, the customers identity or the purpose of the reservation. c) the hotel has justified cause to believe that entailment of the hotels services might jeopardize the hotels smooth business operation, safety, or public reputation, even if such matters cannot be attributed to the hotels sphere of control or organization. d) there is a breach of contract as stated under paragraph 2 above. The hotel must notify the customer immediately if it plans to exercise its right to cancellation. If the hotel legitimately exercises its right to cancellation, the customer has no claim to compensation.
The customer shall have no right to a particular room. booked rooms are available to to the customer from 3:00 PM of the arranged arrival day. The customer has no right to access the room any earlier. On the agreed departure day customers must vacate their rooms by 11:00am. If the customer remains in the room longer than the time stipulated above, the hotel may charge an extra 50% of the full room price up to 6:00 pm, and may charge an extra 100% after that time. The customer has the right to prove that no damage or significantly lower damages have arisen for the hotel.
