The Starlight Motor Inn is a historic midcentury motel in the heart of North Charleston, SC. Independently-owned and operated by a native of Charleston, the Starlight has been a beloved neighborhood landmark for over 60 years.

Family run since 1961, The Starlight was conceived as an affordable and accessible destination for locals and visitors alike. In 2022 the property was lovingly restored and reimagined as a 51 room oasis just minutes from downtown Charleston. Our bright and spacious rooms are designed for the perfect overnight stay with a variety of modern amenities including pillowtop mattresses, great showers, luxe bath products, and a 55" TV in every room.

With a private swimming pool, cocktail lounge, event space, and a host of "De-Luxe" amenities, the Starlight is the perfect oasis for restful days and playful nights.

Property and Cancelation Policies :

Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. Your credit card will be charged at booking upon confirmation of your reservation. There will also be a $200 incidental pre-authorized hold run on your card the day of your arrival. Reservations are fully refundable three days prior to check-in.

Terms and Conditions

Please be advised that we have a 3 day cancellation policy. Any reservation not canceled 3 days prior to your scheduled arrival will be charged 100% of the room + tax for all nights of your confirmed reservation.

Check-In begins at 4PM. We are happy to accommodate early check-In requests whenever possible for an additional $25. Check-out is at 11AM on the day of your departure. You may purchase an approved late check-out for an additional $40. Unauthorized late checkouts may result in a fee.

For your convenience, the Starlight is a keyless property. Your unique door code will be created after you complete your digital check-in & sent to you at 2pm on the day of your arrival.

The Starlight Motor Inn cannot accommodate pets of any kind.
