The Old Post Office is a public house and hotel located on the edge of the Historic textile town of Halifax and was the original Post Office serving the town dating back to 1790. It comprises of a Free House serving a wide variety of Cask Conditioned Real Ales and a wide range of lagers. The Hotel has recently been fully redeveloped to modern standards and offers single, double, twin and disabled accommodation furnished to a high standard. En-suite rooms are available with tea and coffee making facilities, Digital Freeview TV/DVD and wi-fi internet access available. We also have basic single bedrooms with tv and coffee/tea making facilities,and Wi-Fi internet access available.There are separate bathroom for the use of single room users. The Old Post Office is situated on the Eastern side of the Town and is centrally located 2 minutes walk from the Town Centre and very close to the Train Station and Bus Terminal. The M62 is only 4 miles away and is accessed via the A629. Please be aware that all Room Rates are ROOM ONLY. We request that all guests provide us with appropriate I.D and payment details at check in We reserve the right to refuse accommodation to guests who are unable to provide this

If you cannot arrive by 21.00 you must contact the hotel and let them know. We do understand that people can run late for various reasons. Failure to arrive by 21.00 with out informing the hotel will mean your hotel room is no longer available and could be given to another customer.
- NO SMOKING. No smoking in the hotel rooms or anywhere inside the property. Smoking area’s are provided.
- DRINKING ALCOHOL. You can not drink your own alcohol that is bought from outside the hotel/pub. We do have a working bar. Exceptions may be made upon discussion with management.
- DRUGS. No drugs, it’s simple, it’s illegal and you will be asked to leave and information will be passed onto the police.
- RESPECT. You must respect other guests and staff members. We will not accept any form of abuse to anyone in our premises. If you do become abusive then the police will be called.
- DAMAGE. If you damage any property belonging to the hotel you will be charged, if this is a honest mistake please inform staff if you leave with out informing staff an invoice for the damages will be sent out to you. Failure to pay for damages will result in legal action. Rooms are cleaned and checked before and after arrival.
- PETS. we do allow pets however you must ring the hotel first and inform staff so that the correct arrangements and rooms can be made.
- IDENTIFICATION. We require ID from all our residents this must include your name, d.o.b and address. This is a legal requirement.
- AGE. You must be 18 years or older to book a room with our hotel.
- CHILD CRIMINAL AND SEXUAL exploitation. You cannot share a bed or room with anyone under the age of 18 UNLESS you are a family member and even then this must be in separate beds. If staff suspect any wrong doing they will cancel your booking and inform the local police and safeguarding units.
- KEYS. On the day of your arrival you will be given a set of keys, these must be kept with you and not left in your room at any point. You will lock yourself out!
- LEAVING. On the day you leave the hotel you must post the room keys in the white letter box near the back door or hand them to staff. You will be charged if the keys are taken home with you and not returned.
- CLEANING. During your stay we will not clean your room. Your room is cleaned before and after your arrival. Should the room need a clean or your require new bedding then please speak with staff or management.
Our rooms are charged per person not per room. For example if one person books a double room you will only be charged for one person. If two people want the double room then then you will be charged for two people but this is discounted.
(Single) for 1 person only £35 for one person.
(Double) for 2 people only £55 for one person or £79 for two people.
(Family) for 3 people only £79 for a minimum of two people or £99 for three people.
(Disabled) for 2 people only £55 for one person or £79 for two people.

Shower gel, shampoo and soap is provided again this can be topped up when required.
Parking is available however it is only a small car park and works on a first come first serve basis.
THIS IS A HOTEL ABOVE A PUB THERE MAY BE SOME NOISE. We do hold functions and bands during the weekend and during the week.
