- Payment: At check-in, a pre-authorization hold will be placed on your debit or credit card to cover all charges, including up to $50 in incidentals. For debit cards, this hold affects your available funds. Unused authorizations are released upon check-out; however, your financial institution determines the timeline for fund availability.
- Non-Smoking Policy: The General Francis Marion Hotel is entirely non-smoking, including vaping. Activating the smoke alarm will necessitate a full hotel evacuation. Violation incurs a $200 daily cleaning fee and a $200 fire alarm fee.
- Pet Policy: Pets are not permitted, as we lack facilities to accommodate them. Non-compliance results in a $200 daily cleaning fee.
- Noise Policy: Please maintain minimal noise levels to respect other guests. Our zero-tolerance noise policy involves a warning for the first complaint; a second complaint may lead to a $200 charge and/or eviction without refund.
- Property Policy: We take pride in offering high-quality amenities. Removing items from your room will result in a replacement fee added to your bill. Damages will also incur repair or replacement fees.
- Check-Out Time: Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 AM on the confirmed departure date. Late check-out without prior approval will incur additional charges.
- Key Return: A $100 lock replacement fee applies if all keys are not returned upon check-out.
- Right to Refuse Service: As a privately owned establishment, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone refusing to follow hotel policies.
