and a 16 Bed Dormitory divided into 6 pods for privacy. Two of the dorm beds are queen size and can accommodate 2, or provide extra room for 1.
Fireside Lodge is owned by a society of about 100 members under the BC Society Act. The original purpose of the lodge was to provide its members with reasonably priced accommodation in Whistler, a world class all-season resort. Guests are welcomed at our lodge. We provide a good value and family oriented option in Whistler. The lodge is located about midway between the two access stations to the mountain and located near major bus routes.
All net revenue from operations is put back into the Lodge and the members are proud to provide a "ski lodge" vacation space for visitors from around the world. The rooms do not have ensuite facilities, but ample common toilet and shower areas are provided separately for male and female. The kitchen area was renovated in 2015 and is usually most guest's biggest surprise on arrival. The members ensure that it is well equipped and items are in good supply.
The Fireside Outdoor Recreation Club was created in 1965 by some dedicated outdoors enthusiasts looking to create a "home away from home". Their perseverance resulted in a successful and flourishing year-round outdoor club. Unfortunately, in 1980 a fire destroyed the original lodge but not their dreams. The Fireside Lodge was rebuilt from ashes and a much larger building was inaugurated in 1984.The Fireside Lodge is proudly one of the oldest member-owned facilities in Whistler. We are proud to provide a family-oriented, clean, non-smoking lodge in a quiet enclave in the forest. Our lodge will allow you to experience Whistler at a reasonable price.
