Nestled in the mountains of Leadville, Colorado, the S.L.umber Yard at FREIGHT is the perfect retreat. The property, once home to a lumber yard and freight depot, now boasts a brilliantly renovated event space, outdoor stage, and thirteen luxurious cabins. Whether you're celebrating a big milestone or just looking for a getaway, the S.L.umber Yard is the perfect place to stay. Inspired by homes built in the mining days, these modern cabins were thoughtfully crafted using recycled materials found on site. With rustic charm on the outside, and all the amenities on the inside, our cabins provide all the comfort you need. In tune with our mission to honor the stories of Leadville, we named the cabins after female sex workers who lived here. First the men came to work the mine. Then the ladies came to work on the line. These women's stories are rarely told, and so it's our honor to shine a light on them.

Property and Cancelation Policies :

As we are a small independent business, cancellations affect us greatly. We highly recommend acquiring trip insurance to protect your travel.

The full amount of your stay will be charged if a cancellation occurs within 48 hours of your check-in. For cancellations made within 14 days before check-in, there will be a $75 fee for full cancellation, or $35/night if you are shortening your stay. Any cancellation made prior to the 14-day deadline will not incur a fee.

All cancellations must be alerted by phone or email. Fees will be applied according to when communication was received.

Terms and Conditions

Payment will be charged to the card on file two day before your check in day. Please let us know in advance of your check in date if a different card should be used.

CHECK IN/OUT:

You will receive a text message the morning of your check-in with a property map and details about your stay. If you would prefer to receive this via email, please let us know.
Contactless check-in is any time after 4pm.

Contactless check-out is 10:00am.
Call or text us to request an early check-in or late check-out, with an additional charge we will do our best to accommodate you.

We are available call or text our office phone at (719) 293-1053 from 9am to 5pm or until 8pm for our in-house guests. Please keep in mind that we aren't staffed 24/7.

- For Parking we have a parking lot for hotel guest and enough for one vehicle per cabin. If you need more parking spots or a bigger parking lot please contact the front and ask where the overflow parking lot.

-All cabins have No Smoking policy. If you are found to be in violation by finding any drugs or the cabin you check out of smells like marijuana or tobacco, you will be assessed a $200 fee.

-We do allow pets with an additional charge. Pets are not allowed on any furniture and need to be in a kennel when left in cabin. If there is any pet damage in the cabin there will be a $500 charge to the credit card on file.

-Damaged or missing items from rooms post check-out will be charged to the card on file. These include but are not limited to linens, pillows, mugs, room keys, books, etc. If an item is taken accidentally and is returned to us within 14 days, there will be no charge.

We frequently host events in our depot. Please check the calendar on our website to learn about any events happening during your stay. We work hard to ensure quiet hours for our cabin guests, but if you have any concerns about an event, feel free to reach out to us.
