WHEN RENTING THE WHOLE INN The Inn includes two living rooms, one of which has a full size pull down couch with optional privacy with use of the pocket door. Both living rooms have televisions with Roku access. Across the two connected dining rooms you can easily seat 12, and the two kitchens come well stocked with cooking basics (see below). The house has six independent bedrooms. Four of the bedrooms have queen size beds (all upstairs), one bedroom has a full size bed with attached full bathroom (downstairs), and one bedroom has two twin size beds. Each bedroom has a closet. Two of the three full bathrooms are located upstairs. Downstairs has one full bathroom and one half bath. The central air system is equipped with four thermostats. In addition to central air, each room in the home has ceiling fans. The property also includes a front porch, back balcony and back patio. WHEN RENTING HALF THE OKRA INN I The space includes a private living room, a private dining room that sits six, three bedrooms, and one and half bathrooms. There is also a coffee bar set up in each kitchen with a drip coffee maker and coffee, sugar and creamer provided. WIFI A mesh wifi system allows for high speed internet throughout the home. HOUSE RULES Firearms are strictly prohibited. Active duty military and law enforcement officers may contact us at the time of booking regarding possible exceptions to this policy. Any exceptions will be granted at our sole discretion. Smoking is not allowed in the house but is allowed on front and back porches. We feel strongly about being respectful of neighbors and other guests. We ask that guests watch noise levels after 10pm on weeknights and after 11pm on weekends, especially outside. We do not allow any outside guests to stay past these hours. In general, please ask before your stay if you are planning on hosting any sort of gathering. Please inquire before booking if your group is a bachelor(ette) party. While we are happy to host these groups, we ask that they do not have any party events in the house, and that decoration is kept to a minimum. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE We have noise monitors installed on the property to comply with the City of New Orleans short term rental hosting requirements. ABOUT US Lindsay started The Okra Inn in 2013, and today it's a family owned and run business with her husband Adam, Penny their four year old, David their one year old, and the ageless dog Ringo.
