Making Reservations and Deposits: A credit card will be needed to guarantee reservations according to our inn policies. This includes a deposit in the amount of one-half the stay (minimum deposit is for one night) The remaining 50% will be charged on the day of your arrival. You will also need a valid ID upon your arrival.
Cancellation:Up until one week prior to your confirmed reservation, cancellation will result in a $25 credit card processing fee, and your deposit will be refunded. If you cancel between one week and 48 hours prior to your arrival date, your deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation within 48 hours of your stay will result in a charge of the total amount.
Changing Dates: Changes to your stay must be requested at least 48 hours prior to your reservation and are subject to availability. There will be no added fee, and your deposit can be put toward your new stay. After check-in, shortened stays will still be charged in full per the original reservation.

Checking In and Out: Check-in time is anytime after 3pm. If your room is vacant and clean prior to 3pm, we will be happy to provide you with an early check in.Check-out is 11 am. If you ask in advance, we would be happy to provide you with a late check-out, subject to availability. Late check-out fees may apply.
Pets:Pets are permitted in the following rooms: Carriage House Suite, Cottage Suite, and Normandy Suite. You must, however, inform us and pay a $75 fee per pet, per night. Max of 2 pets, with a weight limit of 50 Lbs per pet. Pets are strictly prohibited in the main inn and restaurant.Pet(s) must NEVER be left unattended in the room at any time, whether or not the dog is in a kennel crate. $100.00 fee for unattended dog(s) in hotel room or hotel parking lot. Unattended pet(s) may be removed from the room or hotel property by Hotel staff and/or animal control without liability on the part of the hotel and the guest will assume any/all cost for such removal.Pet(s) Must be leashed and under direct restraint at all times outside your room and/or on hotel property.If your dog barks frequently, other guests may be disturbed. Guests may be asked to leave if their dog excessively barks and disturbs other guests. If this happens you are still responsible for your original reservation and will not be issued a refund.There is a $100.00 fee for each undeclared/non-approved dog/pet brought into the hotel.Guest agrees and authorizes The Hartstone Inn to charge the credit card on file at registration for any and all damages discovered during stay or after departure, including, but not limited to: pet odor and stains, repair or replacement of hotel property, excessive and/or exceptional cleaning or extermination charges, loss of hotel revenue caused by pet.
Smoking:Smoking in the suites and patios is strictly prohibited. If there is evidence of smoking in the suite, a fee of $300.00 will be charged to the credit card given at the time of check-in.
Safety & General Policies:A valid ID & Registration Card provided completed are required at Check In.The person(s) or party registering is responsible for all charges and/or any damages to room, furnishings, fixtures, or property and agrees to reimburse Hartstone Inn by the credit card given at check-in and also gives Hartstone Inn authorization to do so should damage occur.The Hartstone Inn and its staff assume no responsibility for accidents or injury to guests, loss of money, jewelry, or valuables of any kind.
