Property and Cancellation Policies :
Cancellation Policy: One to Three (1-3) rooms require seven (7) days prior to your check in time of 4pm PST.  Four to six (4-6) rooms require fourteen (14) days advanced notice. Seven to ten (7-10) rooms require thirty (30) days notice. If you cancel after the cancellation period, you will be charged 100% of the room(s) fees at the time of booking. Five (5) or more consecutive nights must be cancelled ten (10) days in advance. No shows are charged 100% for the nights booked. Bookings for 2 night minimum weekends require ten (10) days advanced notice for cancellation. If you cancel 7 days prior to your reservation check in date, you will be charged 1 night room fees.  If you cancel 5 days prior to your reservation check in date you will be charged 100% of your room fees. No shows are charged 100% for the nights booked. This cancellation policy is strictly inforced through the third party you booked with. Bookings for 2 night minimum weekends require ten (10) days advanced notice for cancellation.  Should you need to cancel your reservation for any reason, you will need to contact the company you booked with directly. We do not have the ability to cancel any third party reservation within our own system. That is the deal made with any third party booking services such as Expedia, Hotels.com, etc, so please do call them for any and all cancellation questions.

Terms and Conditions

Credit Card Hold: Three days prior to your arrival (or upon booking if within 3 days of arrival), we will preauthorize your credit card with a $100 hold. We don’t actually get this money, it is just an amount that is frozen on your credit card or in your back account to ensure you have enough money to pay for your room upon check in. This hold will secure your reservation and will be used as security against any additional charges. If there are no additional charges upon check out, the $100 preauthorization will be removed from your card according to your credit card company’s policies (typically within 3 – 5 business days). Please note that should you choose to use a debit card we have noticed that banks tend to take longer than credit card companies to release the $100 hold. We do not know why, but please do contact your bank if you have not seen this amount return to your account within a week or two. 

Check-in/Check-out: Check-in time is anytime after 4pm and Check-out time is 11am. Guests checking in must be 21 years of age or older. Upon check in, we will need to make a copy of your ID and we will verify the credit card we have on file or take a new credit card. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Cash if you must. If you do plan to pay with cash, please know we will still require a credit card at check-in. If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible.  

Pet Policy:The pet fee is $50 per day. We have one super pet friendly room, Martinique. This room is separate from our main guest corridors, which allows us to support those who love their pets and those who are allergic to pets. Please only bring well trained, kid friendly pets to our property. Please know that your pet is not allowed to be in the guest room without you. We reserve the right to ask you and your pet to vacate the property should there be any complaints about your pet. Penalties will be charged for violation of this policy, see our disturbance fee under our comfortable policy. After all no one, including your pet, is comfortable with all night barking.Please contact the front desk if you are bring your pet!

Hours of Operation: Our Peak Season hours of operation are 9am to 9pm and our Off Season hours of operation are 9am to 8pm. So please call before we close if you plan to arrive after hours for check-in instructions. Our courtyard opens at 8am and closes at 10pm. Only registered guests are allowed on hotel property after 10pm and quiet hours are from 11pm until 8am. Our team is not onsite 24 hours a day, but we are on call. Our team goes home at night and comes back each morning and yes, I promise they will come back. You as a registered guest, however, are welcome to come and go as you please, even after we have locked up for the night. Don’t worry, we will show you how to access the hotel with your key after we lock up and we will ensure you know how to call us if you have an urgent need during the night.

 Location and Parking: Capitola Hotel is located at 210 Esplanade in the heart of the Capitola Village. Parking in the Village can be challenging as we are literally a two block town! But we have tried to make parking easier with two parking options for you.
Option One IS INCLUDED with your STAY - One Parking Pass per room is included with your stay. This pass allows you to park in available public parking metered parking spots throughout the village during your entire stay without being charged or needing to move your vehicle. These passes are issued to us by the City of Capitola, so please ensure you return your parking pass at check-out to avoid a $75 re-issuance fee charged by the City of Capitola. No need to call us ahead of time about this option, we will take care of you when you arrive and ensure you have your pass and know exactly where you can and cannot park!
Option Two IS NOT INCLUDED with your STAY - For an additional fee, reserved parking is available right next to the hotel on a first come first reserve basis. These reserved parking spots may be purchased for $35/day Sunday through Thursday and $45/day Friday and Saturday. We only have two reserved parking spots, so please call ahead if you would like to secure a reserved parking spot as they fill up fast. Once you arrive, you can park in the loading area near the hotel and come inside to obtain your parking instructions. White loading zones require at least one passenger to be inside the car at all times.
 

Comfort Policy: Your comfort and safety is our highest priority! This policy is meant to ensure you enjoy our hotel the entire time you are staying with us. It is critical that you know we are a non-smoking facility…that means we do not allow smoking of any substance in our hotel! It takes a lot to get smoke out of any kind of bed linens. We are a small boutique hotel and being such requires cooperation of all guests, therefore we have strict quite hours from 11pm - 8am. This means you need to keep the noise to a quiet conversation please. There are plenty of bars across the street if you need to listen to loud music, yell at your friends, and/or dance all night. Violators of the quiet policy will be charged a $500 disturbance fee and may be ejected without refund. For your safety, ONLY registered guests are allowed on hotel property after 10pm. All rooms are subject to maximum occupancy and violators of our maximum occupancy will be charged $100 per person. A $500 fee will be applied to your bill should there be any damages, including smoke smell in the room, stained linens, soiled carpets, broken furniture or anything assessed to be damaged during your stay. Just follow our hotel rules and you will be super glad you did the next morning…in more ways than you know!
