Old Marshall Jail Hotel

We strive to provide our guests with an exceptionally clean, safe and enjoyable hotel experience.  The following policies have been established based on industry standards, management and operational procedures.  Our policies are a part of our reservation agreement with you.  As our hotel guest, by reading and booking your hotel registration you are agreeing to abide by all policies and terms and conditions.  Policies are subject to change as needed and required for optimal operation of our business.

CHECK-IN TIME:   3:00 p.m.  Check-in is automatic with your access code, you may arrive at or anytime after 3 pm.  Early check-in is based on availability, a fee may apply for early check-in requests.  Guests must be at least 18 years of age to check in at the Old Marshall Jail Hotel.   

CHECK-OUT TIME: 11:00 a.m.  Additional day charge, plus tax may apply for late checkout.  A 30-minute grace period is extended for those who request late-checkout.  A charge may apply for late check-out passed 30 minutes at Management’s discretion.  Late check-out must be approved by staff or management, guests who remain in the room passed 11:30 am and do not notify management will be automatically charged the applicable fee for late check-out.

RATES & DEPOSITS Rates as advertised on the Old Marshall Jail Hotel website or any other website or promotional material are subject to change at any time and may increase or decrease at the hotel’s discretion.  Taxes and fees apply.  Deposits for the full total of your reservation are due at the time of booking for all rooms.  Reservations are not confirmed until the deposit is paid.

DISCOUNTS: We do not offer discounted room rates for participation or employment in organizations such as AAA, AARP, government employees, etc.  Select promotions or discounts may be offered throughout time and will be applied at the time of booking.  We are not able to apply promotions or discounts to reservations retroactively or change rates for reservations should a promotion be offered after the time of booking.  

CANCELLATION: Deposits are fully refundable 30 days before arrival date.  Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival will be charged 50% of the deposit.  Reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival, no shows and same-day cancellations are non-refundable and will be charged the full deposit. 

RESCHEDULING RESERVATIONS: Guests may change the dates of their reservation up to 48 hours before arrival without penalty.  Change dates are based on availability and are not guaranteed.  Rates and deposit may increase based on the requested dates and additional balance will be added to the deposit.

100% SMOKE-FREE  We are a smoke-free property and do not allow smoking inside the hotel rooms, hallways, inside and outside common areas.  A designated smoking area is provided outside away from the building and adjacent deck. A $250 smoking fee will be charged to your method of payment for damages and cleaning should our team or other guests notify us of cigarette smoke or evidential smell inside your room.  Candles, incense and other flammable items are prohibited from use inside hotel rooms.
PARKING Parking is provided for guest convenience in the front of the building, available parking is not guaranteed.  Additional public parking is available on Baileys Branch Road and Jerry Plemmons Way.  We are not able to accommodate large trailers, boats or RVs.  Old Marshall Jail is not responsible for any damage to vehicles should it occur.  Guests and visitors are not permitted to store unused vehicles in any of our parking spaces or on building grounds.  Parking is for Old Marshall Jail guests and visitors only.

ACCESS CODES For security purposes, we use a coded access for all exterior doors and hotel rooms.  Access codes will be provided for the duration of your stay and are designated for guest use only.  Access codes for both the hotel grounds and individual rooms should not be shared with non-hotel guests at any time.  

PARKING Parking is available for guests in the designated spaces in the front of the Old Marshall Jail building.  Available spaces are not guaranteed.  Additional parking can be found on Baileys Branch Rd or in the far lot across from USPS on Jerry Plemmons way.  We do not offer on-site parking for tractor-trailors, RVs, boats.  Old Marshall Jail is not liable for vehicles parked in our parking areas or property.  Extended vehicle storage is not permitted.  

QUIET HOURS:  10:00 p.m. to 8 a.m. If you become aware of a disruptive guest, please contact staff immediately.  Televisions, voices, or other devices must be kept at a respectful low level at all times.  Doors should be opened and closed quietly.  Please do not congregate or run in halls or the outside deck area.  As a historic building, noise travels quickly and we do our best to ensure the comfort of the entire hotel, please be respectful of other guests.  FREE WiFi ACCESS: Access to our WiFi is free for our registered guests.  WiFi signals are subject to change depending on connectivity, the room’s location, the status of our WiFi-equipment, and interference from other local wireless signals.  Old Marshall Jail Hotel assumes no liability for guest use.   

ACCESSIBILITY  Old Marshall Jail is located on the second level of the building and accessible by staircase only.

ACCESS TO ROOMS: Management reserves the right to enter a room for reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, housekeeping, maintenance, verify that the room, its furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our Policies.
