Terms and Conditions
The primary guest is liable and responsible for all charges and incidentals associated with the room. The primary guest and all additional guests are held to Motel Durango’s Policies and Rules. Any violation of Motel Durango’s Policies and Rules may result in the modification or cancellation of your stay. We are committed to providing our guests with a safe and family-friendly environment to explore the adventures of the Southwest.
- Reservations -
Check-In Requirements: The minimum age to check in is 21 years old. A valid ID or Passport is required for all reservations. When checking in at Motel Durango, we place a Card authorization or collect a cash hold of $150 per private room and $50 per hostel bed to cover incidentals. All Cash holds require a Credit Card to be on file. This incidental hold is a temporary charge, which will be released on the day of check-out following a room or bed inspection. Typically, Card authorizations are released within 48 hours, but release times may vary depending on bank processing times, weekends, and holidays. Cash holds will be returned at the time of check-out within our Lobby hours. There is an additional 3.5% resort fee for all credit and debit card transactions, if paying in cash, this 3.5% fee will not be applied.
Early Check-In: Early Check-In is based on room availability.
Check-Out: Check-Out ends at 11:00 am daily. If the check out policy is violated, late check out may result in additional fees.
Reservation Adjustments: Any adjustments made to a reservation less than 24 hours from the scheduled check-in date are subject to modification fees.
Pet Policy: Dogs of all sizes are welcomed on our property. We can not allow any other animals on the property at this time. Dogs that are not declared at the time of check-in will be charged a fee of $250. Each room is allowed up to two (2) dogs per night. There is a $15 charge per dog per night. Additional cleaning fees may apply.
Maximum Occupancy: King bedrooms can accommodate up to 2 guests and Double Queen bedrooms can accommodate up to 4 guests. Each room is allowed an additional person on a roll-away bed if space permits and a rollaway bed is available.
Room Key Cards: Staff can only issue room key cards to guests listed on the arrival form. Guests will need to provide an ID to have new key cards issued.
- Guest Policies -
Drugs & Alcohol: Motel Durango is committed to providing a safe family-friendly environment for all of our guests. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited on the property. Additionally, alcohol is to only be consumed in your room. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the cancelation of your stay with no refund.
Smoking: Smoking is only permitted on our property in designated smoking areas. All cigarette butts must be disposed of in a designated receptacle. Guests who smoke in their room or elsewhere inside the property will be charged a $250 smoking fee. Motel Durango will charge a smoking fee if ash, cigarette butts, or other smoking paraphernalia is discovered inside the room(s).
Cooking: Additional fees will be charged for cooking in a room.
Combustibles: Open fires, cooking grills, Combustibles and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on the property. Additionally, we can not allow candles, incense, or oil diffusers. Failure to comply with this policy will result in the cancelation of your stay with no refund.
Quiet Hours: Quiet Hours will begin at 10:30 pm and end at 7:00 am the following morning. If there is a noise disturbance during these hours, your room will receive a first warning. Upon the second complaint, your reservation will be canceled and all guests must vacate the property immediately.
Children: Motel Durango is committed to providing a family-friendly environment. We ask that kids under the age of 12 be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 at all times.
- Incidental Hold -
Incidentals: Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishings, bedding and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, artwork, etc. will be charged at the appropriate rate of a full new replacement plus shipping costs. All charges associated with damages and repairs will be billed to the credit card on file and/or taken from the incidental damage deposit. Please see the Front Desk if you have questions regarding the cost of billing.
Damage to or Tampering with Fire Systems: Damaging or tampering with any fire related equipment throughout the property will result in immediate cancellation of the guest's reservation. Should we find that the fire alarm system had been damaged or tampered with after the guest has departed, Motel Durango reserves the right to charge the credit card on file for all costs associated with all damages and repairs.
- Lost & Found -
Lost & Found Policy: Motel Durango is not liable for any lost, misplaced, stolen, or damaged belongings. If you believe that you have left items behind, please contact us as soon as possible at (970) 259-3311 or email frontdesk@moteldurango.com. We will do our best to assist you in locating your lost belongings. All items that have been left on the property will be kept in a safe location for thirty (30) days. After this time frame, the items will either be thrown away or donated to local organizations.
