SMOKING OR VAPING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED IN ANY AREAS OTHER THAN THOSE DESIGNATED
We have 3 designatedsmoking areas. The garden area, the BBQ area and the deck along the back of themotel. We ask that you make use of these areas so everyone has a pleasant stay. Butt buckets are provided and we ask that smokers take care to use them. Failure to comply could result in you being asked to leave the premises with no refund. All rooms are non-smoking. Do not smoke in front of rooms or carpark. Penalties will be charged to guests who smoke in rooms. (see Fees Chargeable to Guests)ELECTRIC VEHICLES:
Prohibition of EV Charging: The motel expressly prohibits the use of its electricity supply forcharging electric vehicles (EVs). This policy applies to all areas of the motelpremises.Liability: Guests found charging EVs on the premises may be subject to additionalcharges or fines to cover the cost of electricity used and any potential damageto the motel’s electrical infrastructure. We offer free laundry facilities. Washing machines and dryers. They all have atimer display; all we ask is that you clean up after yourselves and once yourwashing is done or dried to remove it so it frees machines up for other guests.Thereis also a clothesline at the back of the left side of the motel.VISITORS
Visitors of registered guests are not permitted in rooms between 8 pm – 8 am.
ROOM KEY
- Place the key into the keyed switch next to the light switch for your air conditioning. This key cannot be removed in the on position. You must turn the key to the off position to remove it.
- Do not remove the key from the tag.
- Please drop the room key in the drop box on the right side of the reception door.
- Please don’t take the key with you.
HOUSEKEEPING
Your room will be service if you are staying more than three nights. If you have the “do not disturb” sign or no sign atall, on your door your room will not be serviced. Rubbish - there are small wheelie bins located around the motel for your convenience. If any personal items are left on your bed, your bed will not be remade. Please let reception know or see the cleaner if she is around should you require any fresh linen or any additional amenities.PROPERTY DAMAGE
Please note housekeeping service is not included on Sundays or Public Holidays.
Any damage to motel property, whether accidental or wilful, is theresponsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costsassociated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit cardof the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.DOG / CAT-FRIENDLY CONDITIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: (IF APPLICABLE) - NO MORE THAN 2 DOGS OR CATS ALLOWED
1. All packages left by dogs will be picked up and put in the bin supplied, with no exceptions. (This is standard public policy, really.) Waste bags will be supplied.
2. Dogs and cats are not permitted on beds. Health regulations.
3. Dog beds are available upon request. The request must be made at the time of booking.
4. Dogs and cats are not to be left unsupervised in the dog run, garden, or rooms, with no exceptions.
5. Your best efforts to keep dogs off the garden beds would be greatly appreciated.
6. Dogs must be on a leash when not in the room or the fenced garden area.
7. Please Note: Should you allow your Dog or Cat to to urinate or defecate in the room a special cleaning charge will incur a $200 fee.
8. The owner certifies that he or she is the sole owner of the Dog or Cat and is solely responsible for any and all acts of behaviour of the animals whilst staying at the motel. Any damage or injuries caused by such animals will be the owner's sole liability.
CATS:
1. The guest is to supply their own litter and tray.
2. Tray to be cleaned daily. Waste is to be placed in an industrial bin with a red lid.
3. Cats are not to use beds or chairs as scratching posts.
CANDLE, INCENSE, ESSENTIAL OILS:
Candle, incense,essential oils (diffusing, vaporizing, etc.) are prohibited. These items and activities will be treated as smoking, a fine accessed, and the guest may be evicted with no refunds.NO HAIR DYE
No hair dye to be used in the shower or bathroom vanity, it causes stains. Which takes extra cleaning to remove. Which could result in your credit card being charged a further cleaning fee.ALCOHOL AND ILLICIT SUBSTANCES INCLUDING MEDICAL CANNABIS
We have a strict policy of ‘zero tolerance’ regarding the consumption or possession of illegal substances. The consumption of illegal substances (which includes alcohol for those under the age of 18) is not permitted under any circumstances anywhere on the Motel premises. Any person found in possession of illegal substances will be evicted and reported to the police immediately. In such a case, the full booking amount will be forfeited to us.
COOKING
Cooking in guest rooms is strictly forbidden by the Health Department with the exception of the use of the kettle, toaster and microwave provided. A complimentary guest BBQ is provided for guests wishing to cook a meal. Fees for additional cleaning may apply should guests cook inside a guest room.WASHING-UP DISHES/CUPS
Please do not pour milk or any food scraps down thebbathroom vanity, it causes foul odours to develop in the drain. Dishes can be washed in the laundry tub where there is dishwashing liquid and spare teatowels provided.ZERO TOLERANCE PARTY POLICY AND DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOUR
In the interests of quiet enjoyment and respect for all guests at themotel, a no party policy applies to all guests staying at the Spanish Lace Motor Inn. Guests are expected to be respectful of other guests at all timesand to be quiet between 9.30pm and 7am. Any disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. Failure to adhere will be asked to leave with no refund.FEES CHARGEABLE TO GUESTS' ACCOUNT INCLUDE, AND ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Smoking in rooms – $300.00 cleaningfee will be charged. Excess cleaning $300.
Lost orstolen keys will incur a $250 fee. Attempts will be made to contact the guest who will be given the opportunity to return keys taken. Failure to do so will result in the fee being charged to their credit card or sent to a Debt Collection Agency. In addition, it will be reported to police as theft. The costs of recovery will be added to the original amount owed.CANCELLATION POLICY:
Guests who have checked in and leave earlier than booked are not entitled to a partial refund. Under special circumstances, a partial refund may be given at manager's discretion.
