Reservation Policy

/!\ Christmas and New Year 24/25 - Please note that for any stay between December, 23rd 2024 and January, 5th 2025 we have our Non-refundable Christmas/New Years Eve period. When reserving, the full amount of the stay will be charged upon booking. Payments that do not process are subject to immediate cancellation. /!\

- The hotel has the right to cancel your reservation if we do not receive the Pre-Payment Deposit. We will send you a cancellation confirmation via email immediately after canceling your booking
- We believe the children are our future, but you still have to be between 18 and 35 years old to stay in our property
- Is it really you? A valid photo ID is required upon check-in
- All requests to reserve a room must include the first and last name of all adults occupying the room and a valid credit card for a guarantee of arrival
- Our room rates are always awesome, and they are subject to change
- Group trips are fun, but when booking, keep in mind that we can't guarantee to have you all in the same dorm (we'll do our best!)
- Reservations can only be taken and confirmed by making an advance payment of the amount of the first night
- A deposit of $20 will be requested at check-in and returned at check-out (cash or card) to get a locker key if needed
- Maximum stay is up to 28 nights 
- No group bookings above 6 without permission from property 
- No sporting trips, bucks parties, hens parties, schoolies

Check-in / Check-out / Business hours
- We are always here! Open seven days a week, from 8am to 8pm. No worries mate, you can check-in after hours, only make sure to contact us in advance at info@thesocialhotel.com.au or 04 51 735 191, so we can let you know how to check-in
- Check-in time: 2:00 p.m. We’ll be ready for you
- Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. Seize the day, friend!
- The balance of the full amount is payable on arrival at check-in time. Please note that check-in cannot be completed until full payment for the room has been received and approved 
- A room key is provided at check-in time after the full rental amount has been settled ($50 deposit will be taken at check-in). The cost of any keys needing replacement will be charged to you ($20)
- At check-out time please drop keys into ”Room Keys” located on left side of the desk when facing the reception

Cancellation policy
Life happens. We get that. Reservations are fully refundable up to 24 hours prior to check-in (local time)
To cancel a reservation, please email us at info@thesocialhotel.com.au or simply cancel on the reservation platform used to make the booking
Cancellations received after 2pm, the day prior to check-in (local time) will not be refunded, the amount of the first night will be kept

Smoking Policy
Breathe easy. The Social Hostel is a non-smoking property. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and could mark the end of the stay with no refund of it.

Please Note: Immediate termination of your stay with no refund is possible if: 
- Excessive noise is made in the evening hours or at night
- All our guests are asked to respect the property and privacy of the neighbors and to not make any excessive noise between the hours of 10PM and 08AM.
- The Social Hostel is not responsible for lost or forgotten personal things at the property premises.

Age Policy
All guests must be between 18 and 35 years old to confirm guestroom accommodations at The Social Hostel. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification.

Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded.
