"Du Beau's Motel Inn" opened its doors in 1929 as one of the first Motels in America! In 1927 a Canadian entrepreneur Albert E Du Beau relocated to Flagstaff to materialize his vision of a posh "Motor Hotel". He purchased a prominent site on the original Route 66 corridor and chose a "U" shaped layout for his 3 building complex. His clever plan included guest rooms opening onto a courtyard car park, and steam heated garages, as defining features of his modern Motel concept. Mr Du Beau specifically designed his Inn to cater to a burgeoning breed of travelers; "auto tourists" venturing out on the open road to explore America in their fancy new motorized vehicles. Not only did he offer warm garages for his guests' prized Model T's, he also enticed customers with luxuries intended for "the better class of motorist" including carpeting, double beds and tiled indoor bathrooms... for an all inclusive price of $2.50 per night! ​ Today, the Motel Du Beau continues to host a myriad of happy travelers. Property and Cancelation Policies :
We are a small facility with limited space so we greatly appreciate hearing from you in advance if you need to cancel your reservation. This allows us to resell the accommodation to other travelers. Thank you for your cooperation!!

No Charge
– If a reservation is cancelled at least 48 hours in advance of the arrival day and time.
Partial Charge – If a reservation is cancelled within 24 – 47 hours of the arrival day and time your credit card will be charged for the first day of your reservation and any successive days will be cancelled at no charge.
Full Charge  – If a reservation is cancelled in less than 24 hours of the arrival day and time, your credit card will be charged for the full amount owing for all of the days included in your reservation.  

*Certain exclusions may apply. Holiday and special event weekends with a required minimum length of stay may be charged in their entirety if the property is fully booked and other customers have been turned away. Refund eligibility will be based upon lost revenue due to any vacant room(s). Please cancel your reservation at least 48 hours in advance to avoid any charges! 

 ** If a guest does not arrive for their reservation on the confirmed date of arrival, all successive days included in the reservation will automatically be cancelled and charges will apply as stated above.

 *** If you need to cancel a reservation, it is best to contact us by phone rather than email, to be sure your request is processed immediately. A notice of cancellation sent via email is not immediately confirmed – you must receive a confirmed cancellation notice from us to be assured your request has been fully processed.

Reception Hours:
Our current office hours are somewhat limited. We apologize for any inconvenience, but are happy that we are able to remain open for business with healthy, happy employees to serve our wonderful guests!

Monday - Thursday:  7 am - 12:30 pm  /  4 - 8:30 pm 
Friday - Sunday:  7 am - 9 pm

Check-in time:
 4pm - close  (see reception hours above). If you arrive early, f
eel free to park in our 'motorcourt" and take a stroll around downtown Flagstaff.

If you will be arriving after evening closure time, please contact us so we can make arrangements to leave a key in a designated location for you to retrieve.

Important! Guest Room Doors :  Lock automatically when pulled closed so please be sure to keep your keys with you at all times. We will not issue a refund if a guest is locked out of their room after hours. 
Pets: We do not allow any pets inside our guest rooms or common areas, including "ESA's. Unlike most pet friendly properties, we have so few guest rooms (only 15 in total) that we cannot designate certain rooms as pet friendly. Guests will be charged a minimum $200 fee if there is evidence that a pet has been in a room (dog hair, barking, sighting on security cameras, eye witness etc) and will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. Guest will also be responsible for any lost revenue due to inability to sell if additional cleaning is required etc. 
Service Animals: In accordance with ADA regulations, a service animal that has been officially trained to perform specific tasks for a person with a disability and has is allowed to stay with their owner in a guest room.  A service animal may not be left unattended in a room and if such animal causes any damages to the room or facility, additional fees will apply.  
Check-out: 7:00 - 11:00 am. Guests are required to inform reception that they are checking out and return their room keys. LATE CHECK-OUTS MAY INCUR AN ADDITIONAL FEE IF ARRANGEMENTS HAVE NOT BEEN MADE IN ADVANCE WITH RECEPTION.

Reservation Terms: A valid credit card is required for a reservation to be confirmed and to cover any incidentals that may occur during the reservation time frame.
Identification: A passport or government issued picture ID will be  required at check-in.  
Payment Terms at Check-in:
Guests are required to pay the balance due for their accommodation upon check-in.
Late arrivals:
If you are going to arrive when our office is  closed for the evening, you will need to make arrangements for a key to be left outside for you. You must contact us in advance of your arrival if you require this service, as we will not leave keys outside of the building after dark unless prior arrangements have been made. Please note, the full balance due will automatically be charged to your credit card on the arrival date.
Smoking: OF ANY KIND! Is not allowed inside our guest rooms or common areas and is strictly enforced. Smoking is allowed in designated outside areas only.  A MINIMUM $350 CLEANING FEE WILL APPLY IF A GUEST CHOOSES TO DISRESPECT OUR PROPERTY AND SMOKE IN THEIR ROOM. If we cannot sell a room due to smoke odor a guest will also be charged for any lost revenue and will be asked to leave immediately with no refund. We don't mess around when it comes to smoking in rooms!
Our Right to Refuse Service: will be enforced if a guest does not meet our lodging requirements (personal information and credit card on file, proper identification etc) or has breached our standards of conduct (aggressive behavior, excessive intoxication, theft, disrespecting fellow guests or staff members, abuse of our property, etc).  At their sole discretion, staff may ask  a guest to vacate the premises at any time during their stay if any such issues arise.
Damages / Missing Items: If any damages or missing items are noted after departure, additional charges may apply.  
If you would like to extend your stay, we need to be informed no later than 11 am on your day of check out, but would recommend you inquire at reception as early as possible as reservations always take priority. We reserve the right to refuse an extension request if a guest does not meet our lodging requirements (personal information and credit card  on file, proper identification etc) or has breached standards of conduct (aggressive behavior, excessive intoxication, theft, disrespecting fellow guests, abuse of our property, etc). 
Parking: The Motel has a free on-site parking lot for guests. If you have a high profile vehicle please advise the desk clerk on duty so he or she may assist you in finding an appropriate spot to park. The old style awnings on the property can be easily  damaged by a tall vehicle. Any damages that occur due to a collision with any of our structures will be the sole responsibility of the guest to repair at their expense ($5,000 for 1 awning!).
Maid Service: We do not provide daily maid service but are happy to offer replacement linens and towels during your stay.

Quiet hours: 10PM - 8AM. Please be respectful of your fellow travelers. Free ear plugs are available at reception.
Special Needs: If you have special needs, please contact us and we will be happy to answer questions and offer any assistance you may require. The Motel Du Beau is a historic property and is not equipped with certain wheelchair friendly features, however, we have had many guests in wheelchairs who were able to stay with us comfortably.
Minors: All guests must be at least 18 years old, or traveling with an adult guardian 18 years of age or older, to stay at the Motel Du Beau.
Pricing for Children: Children who are 10 years old or younger may stay in select private rooms with their parent(s) free of charge. An additional $5 charge per person in our larger private rooms, will apply to children ages 11 and older.
Sleeping bags: Are not allowed on the beds. We provide fresh linen, comforters & blankets.
Dispute Resolution/Problems: If any issues or disputes arise, please contact management at  
Legal and responsible consumption is permitted on the premises, however if a guest becomes unruly or disruptive they will be asked to leave the premises immediately, and may not be offered a refund depending on the circumstances.
- Zero tolerance! Guests will be asked to leave immediately with no refund if illegal drug use is evident.
Motel Du Beau does not assume liability for any theft, damages or injuries which may occur while staying at our property.
