On Sugarloaf's shuttle route, a half mile through the trails from the Outdoor Center, across the street from the Narrow Gauge Pathway and the Carrabassett River, Hostel Of Maine (HoME) is truly in the center of Maine's High Peaks region. We are your perfect spot for the bluebird days, wind holds, hot summer trail rides, swimming hole excursions, and more.
Our bunk rooms feature six bunks each with an outlet, reading light, and comfy twin xl memory foam mattress. Our other rooms feature a mix of premium quality queen, king, and twin beds for groups of 2-5 depending on layout. Every room at Hostel of Maine has an ensuite bathroom, as well as a coffee maker and small fridge during the 2020 season. The lodge has over 2000sq/ft of common space inside for you to safely space out and enjoy yourself (masks required!). We also accommodate large groups and if interested you can rent the entire lodge, just send us an email!
Our beer, wine, and cider selection is curated with primarily local Maine producers, but we will feature other small makers when we find a drink that makes sense.
Welcome HoME. We can't wait for you to get here!

Terms and Conditions
Hostel of Maine is a fully licensed hospitality establishment, but it is also our home and we are honored to be able to welcome guests into it. All guests are expected to treat staff, guests and property with courtesy & respect. This is done thru abiding basic hostel etiquette:
- respect quiet hours between 10pm - 7am
- if it’s not yours, don’t take it
- keep your personal belongings within your own space
- carry your key with you so you can come and go without issue
- if you know you have a sleep condition that will cause disturbance to other guests, book a private room
- be mindful that you are sharing space with others; clean up after yourself and leave spaces as clean if not better than how you found them
For the safety of our guests and staff we will be operating on a self check in and check out model for the near term. We will send you detailed instructions and information regarding your stay 24 hours before arrival. We give the room time to air out before and after we clean for everyone's safety. Self check ins start at 5pm, and check out must be completed by 11am the day of departure.

A 1pm check out/3pm check in is accommodated as able and carries a $25 charge.
