The Guest is responsible for reviewing all flight schedules, advisories and details, for accuracy and availability and providing this information to the Resort where pick-up is necessary. For further information, please visit the Antigua Tourism travel advisory page.

Travel Insurance is strongly recommended to cover such occurrences.

Cancellations 

Bookings cancelled earlier than 30 days prior to arrival will attract a 25% cancellation penalty. Bookings cancelled within 30 days of arrival will incur a cancellation penalty of 50%. The full cost of the booking will be charged for cancellations within 14 days of arrival, no-shows, early departures or non-refundable bookings.

Check-In & Check-Out Requirements 

Check-in time is 3:00 p.m., and check-out time is 11:00 Am Subject to availability, early check-in or late check-out may be available for an additional fee payable locally at the Resort.

Animals & Pet Policy

We know you don’t want to leave any family members behind, but animals and pets are not allowed at Barbuda Cottages.

Food Allergies & Dietary Restrictions

Please let us know if you have any food allergies or intolerances and we will make every effort to accommodate your dietary restrictions. The Resort’s restaurants, bars and other dining offerings use wholesome ingredients, which may include milk, shellfish, shrimp, wheat, seeds and other possible allergens and we cannot guarantee that culinary offerings will not come in contact with these items.Guests with food allergies or dietary restrictions are advised to take all the necessary precautions.

Safekeeping of Valuables

For the safekeeping of valuables, a safe is provided in the room. Barbuda Cottages will not be liable for the loss of jewellery and other valuables not protected in this manner. A charge will be incurred if the safe key/ code is lost or damaged.

Disabilities & Mobility Issues

Due to the rugged landscape and unique nature of the terrain and grounds, Barbuda Cottages may not be suitable for Guests with severe disabilities and/or mobility issues. Some cottages, beaches, amenities and services may not be accessible and guests with limited mobility may have difficulty enjoying some of the resort experiences.

Corona Viruses, Insect Borne Diseases & Tropical Illnesses 

The Covid-19 Corona Virus has impacted almost every country and has posed a serious challenge to the travel and hospitality industry. The Ministry of Health and Tourism Authorities have enforced very strict policies to control any importation and reduce the spread of the virus in Antigua. Barbuda Cottages continues to abide by the latest local and international guidelines regarding managing the risks associated with COVID-19. Antigua has been fully cleared and has had no recently documented cases of any insect-borne diseases. As with most tropical islands, there may be a risk of interactions with mosquitoes, sand flies, ants and other flying and crawling insects. However, the Resort maintains rigid pest control programs and treatments and we encourage guests to use repellent and take all recommended precautions. The Resort, its directors, management, staff and insurers shall NOT be liable for any injury, illness, or loss resulting from exposure to COVID-19 or any other insect-borne, tropical illness.

Acts of God & Unforeseen Circumstances

The Resort, its principals, partners, agents or staff shall NOT be liable for any losses or damages due to events beyond their reasonable control. Such events, occurrences, or causes include, without limitation, acts of God, acts or orders of Governmental authorities, terrorist activities, pandemics, weather, strikes, lockouts, riots, utility outages, acts of war, earthquakes, volcanic activity, ash clouds, tsunamis, fire, explosions, lightning, airline delays, cancellations or any event typically described as “force majeure” or an “act of God.”In such instances, any additional costs or room nights incurred by the guest will be due to the resort at established rates. Again, travel insurance is strongly recommended for each guest.

Barbuda Cottages is committed to the privacy of all visitors to our website and to earning the trust of our guests by adopting high standards for the protection of personal information. Information that is provided to the resort through our website, tour operator partners and agents, telephone, email, social media platforms or otherwise, is used only for the purpose of making reservations and providing you with high-quality, personalized service. This includes details you provide relating to your proposed travel arrangements, including relevant hotel bookings and related information. By registering as a member, and filling out our contact forms or guest surveys you agree that this information may be used to contact you, to collate internal reports and for use in general marketing and promotional purposes. Barbuda Cottages does not collect or use your data except in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR).  Access to Personal Data is restricted to authorized personnel who have a legitimate business purpose for accessing and processing your Personal Data. Your data is protected by strict security protocols and practices and will not be provided to any third party without lawful authorization. Requests for removal of any profiles, membership accounts or other personal data can be emailed to info@barbudacottages.com.  

Agreement & Legal Confirmation

This Contract with all its provisions and agreements is legally binding. Each Guest is responsible for reading, understanding, and agreeing with the terms and conditions outlined before securing a Barbuda Cottages booking.
