Whilst everyone’s ‘just right’ might be different, we believe our Lagom rooms tick all the boxes for simple luxuries when you visit Kenmare. Large double beds with luxury white linens, Skellig Soap and Shampoo bars, tea & local coffee, power showers to name a few amenities in each room. Please let us know at the time of booking if you would like us to set up your rooms as a twin. We opened our Townhouse in 2021 and originally it was set up to accommodate our dinner guests so it’s not a hotel in the
conventional sense. We don’t have a reception, bar or communal areas but our
compact and cosy rooms have everything you might require for a couple of nights in Kenmare to discover the Beara and Iveragh Peninsulas and Ring of Kerry. Evenings spent in lovely Kenmare town will always be fondly remembered. We offer all residents complimentary breakfast each morning as part of your stay. The Townhouse rooms are suitable for adults only (16+ years). The Townhouse is in the centre of Kenmare overlooking Henry Street (all rooms are accessed by flights of stairs) allowing you easy access to everything the town has to offer. The rooms (all en-suite) are individually named and decorated with tones and fabrics in keeping with the ‘Lagom’ theme of ‘not too much, not too little, just right,’ acknowledging the natural beauty that surrounds us in Kenmare. Lagom restaurant, situated downstairs is accessible by a separate entrance, just a short walk from the townhouse. Please note all rooms are accessed via stairs.
Check-in notes: Your room will be ready by 3pm. We do not operate a reception so check-in time must be scheduled before arrival. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival so we can meet you at the property for check-in and access to the house. We are unable to offer check-in times to the property after 9pm (Sundays the latest check-in time is 7pm).
Reservations of 4 or more rooms: Cancellation policy on block bookings is 14 days prior to the due arrival date. A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total booking is due at the time the reservation has been made. The house is not suitable for groups celebrating Stag or Hen nights. Parking: Henry Street and Main Street have street parking spaces that are free for up to two hours between 9-6pm. There are free car parks on Shelbourne Street and Railway Road.

Property and Cancelation Policies :
Reservations of 4 rooms or more: On reservations that include 4 or more rooms the cancellation policy is that of a group booking which is 14 days. At the time of making the reservation 10% of the total reservation is taken as a non-refundable deposit. Group reservations have a cancellation policy of 14 days prior to the due arrival date. Any cancellations of rooms (within a group booking) within 14 days will incur a cancellation penalty. Please contact us for more details on making group bookings. The house is not suitable for parties such as Stag or Hen celebrations.
Terms and Conditions
There is on street parking outside of the building that is free for upto 2 hours between the hours of 9am-6pm.
Cars are parked at owners risk. There are 3 car parks within 3 minutes walk of us, these are free and open 24/7.
Adults only: The accommodation in Lagom Townhouse is not suitable for children under 18 years
Check-in details:Your room will be ready at 3pm. It is necessary to schedule your check-in time in advance so that a member of staff can come to the house to meet you and give access to the property. We are unable to schedule check-in later than 9pm Mon-Saturday and 7pm is latest check-in on Sundays. All rooms are accessed through a private entrance and 1-2 flights of stairs.
Payment policy: Payment for your accommodation will be taken when you arrive at the property. Group/block bookings:A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total amount of the booking is deducted at the time of booking. This will be deducted from the reservation (per room) and guests can pay the balance on each room on arrival. We don't split room bills.
Check-out is up until 11am on the day of your departure.
Adults only (18+)
Lagom Townhouse is not suitable for groups of guests travelling to the town to celebrate Hen or Stag nights.
Damage to property: In the unlikely event that something has been stained beyond repair, or damaged within your room during your stay we ask that you bring it to our attention before your departure. If it needs replacing or additional cleaning an extra charge will apply before you depart. Additional cleaning charge is EUR120.
Rooms: We don't accommodate any type of gatherings for parties.
