IMPORTANT BOOKING INFORMATION
❗ Please note that the number of people per room is not guaranteed and can be changed as required by the property, regardless of original booking request.
❗ Our standard cancellation policy is available up to 4 days prior to the day of check in. However, this excludes guests booking with our weekly rate (contact Black Sheep directly for access to this), Christmas/New Year bookings, discounted specials or groups. These are all paid upfront and are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstances.
❗ No shows will still be fully charged, then will be cancelled after the first night. If you are delayed and are not able to attend the first night of your booking but would like to keep the reservation, please contact us directly.
❗ Please note the additional fee for pre charging your card is 3.5%.
❗ Our alcohol policy is no drinking onsite after 8:30pm (excluding special events periods where further restrictions are mirrored by the Queenstown Council).
❗ Only guests with a valid reservation for Black Sheep Backpackers are allowed to visit and stay on the property. Persons found to be staying on the premises without a valid reservation will be charged and asked to leave immediately.
❗ The property has the rights to refuse any booking and bookings can be cancelled at the discretion of the property.
❗ We offer short-term accommodation with a maximum stay of 27 days. If you stay for 7 days with us - Please note this is not long term and our maximum stay policy will still apply.
CANCELLATION POLICY
GROUP BOOKINGS
🧑🤝🧑 Please note group bookings (6 or more) have to be booked directly and can be cancelled at the discretion of the property. Additionally, any bookings which are made separate that are deemed to be together can be charged as a group or cancelled by the discretion of The Black Sheep Backpackers.
🧑🤝🧑 $50 CASH deposit per person on arrival is required as a security deposit for the whole group (example 6 Adults x $50 = $300). This will be refunded after check-out if no damages have occurred by the group during your stay.
🧑🤝🧑 Full payment is required at the time of making the reservation and is non-refundable or transferable under any circumstance from this stage.
🧑🤝🧑 A valid credit card is required to be kept on file per room as security for hostel damages.
CAMPERVANS
🚐 Vans should not be more than 4.5 meters long.
🚐 We accept non-self contained vans as you have access to our bathroom facilities.
🚫 We do not accept motorhomes or tents.
🚫 Tables and hanging of clothes on the fences and within the hostel is not possible.
🚮 Dispose the rubbish properly and do not litter on the parking spaces.
ONLY FOR CHRISTMAS/NEW YEAR’S PERIOD
🎆 5 night minimum stay required.
🎆 Bookings will be charged in full at the time of making the reservation, and are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstances.
🎆 The minimum age for New Years (28/12 - 03/01) is 18 years old.
🎆 I.D must be provided at check in. We accept a passport, driver’s license or HANZ 18+ card ONLY.
🎆 There will be a liquor ban in place mirroring the Queenstown Lakes District and alcohol cannot be consumed on the premises.
PAYMENT POLICY
- Full payment will automatically be taken 4 days prior to the day of check in. If the payment is unsuccessful, the booking can be cancelled at any time at the discretion of the property.
- Any bookings over $1500 NZD, will be charged at any time at the discretion of the property.
- Payments are non-refundable from 4 days prior to the day of check in.
- Bookings under our weekly rate, discounted specials or group bookings are all paid upfront and are non-refundable or transferable under any circumstances.
- We accept EFTPOS and Credit card. Please note there is a 3.5% surcharge for using Visa, Mastercard and international cards.
- We do NOT Accept CASH
- We also have towels available $10 deposit + $5 cleaning fee.
