The minimum duration for our retreat is 7 nights, arrival and departure day is always MONDAY The main elements of a restorative nature retreat are (price includes): Shared transfer from and to Imatra Matka-asema (specific time pick-up / drop-off time to suite Helsinki trains) Individualized restorative needs assessment (arrival day) Healthy, delicious and regular meals (3 per day) 6 day digital detox Regular bedtimes Abundant time to spend in nature Morning meditation in nature daily (except Sunday) Quiet, reflective periods daily ( 21:00-12:00 and Sundays until dinner) Independent activities (rowing, biking, walking) Possibility for sharing in a group (incl. introduction to a topic some restorative topic) Varied restorative guided restorative activities (2 per week min, for ex yin yoga, nature walk, excursions etc.) The possibility of finding a connection with like-minded people. WHAT TO EXPECT AT UTULA NATURE? You will be checked into your room at 14:00, but you are welcome to arrive and enjoy the premises after 13:00 (leave your bags on the terrace in front of reception). We are bilingual, our operating languages are Finnish and English. We are situated on our own family owned 200m natural beach with a soft sandy bottom, perfect for swimming and bathing and a beautiful reed bay on the sauna beach. We have 5 accommodation rooms with 2 beds, 2 rooms in a twin lakeside view cottage and 3 forest cabins with 2 beds and a private mini-terrace. Our shared accommodations are silent, meaning no socializing in the rooms, except upon agreement with roommate. Our shared facilities include: a main house on the beach with shared lounging and dining space including a large main terrace with panoramic lake views, a yoga tent for most of our group classes, a lakefront sun deck with lounge chairs, picnic tables and hammocks for relaxing and dining. wood-lit sauna and warm outdoor nature shower / washing area and 3 composting eco toilets. There are beautiful forest trails to a nearby panoramic public beach and we have a rowing boat, SUP boards and life jackets available for you to explore the nearby lake-shore and islands. We serve tasty and soulful vegetarian buffet meals each day, our kitchen is a fusion of globally inspired recipes with a strong Mediterranean twist. Garlic, tomatoes, olives, cheeses and fresh herbs are very present in our kitchen. We have a beautiful young retreat dog Hani the Labrador retriever, who is friendly, social and still learning her role. The yoga tent and accommodation rooms are 100% anti-allergic areas. HOW TO GET HERE FROM HELSINKI? Fly to Helsinki, from airport take a commutor train to Helsinki city center, take a Onnibus from Kamppi-bus station to bus to Imatra (3,5 hours), transfer to UTULA NATURE (45 min drive, can be arranged through us in advance) Fly to Helsinki, from the airport take a train to Imatra (2hr 30min), transfer to UTULA NATURE (45 min drive, can be arranged through us in advance). Fly to Lappeenranta, transfer by taxi (1 hr 15 min) to UTULA NATURE By car from Helsinki (4 hr) to UTULA NATURE For those arriving by public transportation, the nearest station is Imatra train station (Imatra Matkakeskus) where it is possible to arrange a shared pick up (Tuesdays & Thursdays) @ 13:00 and drop off (Sundays) @ 14:00 to connect with the Helsinki trains.
