We have a 48-HOUR cancellation policy. This means we will only accept cancellation until up to 2pm 2 days prior to the date of arrival. Beyond this point you will be charged 100% of your first night's accommodation.

To secure your booking, full payment for your first night's accommodation will be taken now upon booking. Any remaining nights' payments will be due upon check-in. You can pay by cash or card (all standard card types accepted, including AmEx).
Please note that groups of 8+ MUST contact us directly so we can confirm whether the reservation is possible. Reservations of 8+ who do not contact us are NOT CONFIRMED.

The only public transport to Drumnadrochit is bus or taxi. We recommend www.travelinescotland.com for bus information. *Please leave yourself lots of time to get to the hostel and do not plan to get a bus in the evening as there may not be one.
Room types
We offer shared dorm beds in 6-bed rooms, and a variety of private rooms - double, twin, quad, sixes and family rooms for 4 and 5 people).
All of our rooms use shared bathrooms except the quad.
Please note that we do not allow children under 16 years old in shared dorm accommodation unless your group books out a full room.
Under-18s travelling without a parent or guardian must please contact us before booking - even if booking a private room. We cannot guarantee to accept under-18 bookings but we will try.
Pets are permitted in most rooms (NOT shared dorms or the family rooms) - please contact us directly (01456 450 807/ info@lochness-backpackers.com) to discuss before booking. A pet supplement of £10 per pet is payable on arrival. Pets are also welcome in the bar.
Services
Breakfast is not included in the bed price and is not available on site, but there is a kitchen, a supermarket a 6-minute walk away, and we will also tell you about various options for breakfast within a few minutes' walk of the hostel when you arrive.All bed linen is provided. Towels are available to rent for £2.
Parking is available on-site for up to ten cars and is assigned on a first-come-first-served basis. For anyone who arrives late and is unable to park at the hostel, there is additional parking available 300m further down the road we are situated on.

As we are a licensed premises, Scottish law states that ONLY ALCOHOL PURCHASED ON THE PREMISES CAN BE CONSUMED in the public areas of the hostel. This is a legal requirement of our license, NOT a business decision on our part. Our residents-only bar offers a wide range of 20+ exclusively Scottish beers and 20+ Scottish whiskies, plsu a wide variety of other options so there's lots to choose from!
We reserve the right to take a £50 charge if mattresses or other items are soiled. Adequate payment will also be taken if property is damaged in any other way. Photographic evidence will be provided upon request.
