In addition to the living room and dining room, there is a library sitting area on the second floor, a garden patio and back garden, and a roof walk (more on that below). The garden patio has tables and chairs for your comfort and/or outdoor dining enjoyment. It is accessed through the door on the far side of the dining room. If you continue on the brick path beyond the patio, you will come to our back garden which has a couple of cushioned chaise lounges for your use. – there is also a seating area nestled to one side of the path. All are great for reading, having a glass of wine or cup of tea/coffee, playing a game of cards, chatting or doing absolutely nothing at all! Please enjoy them while being respectful of our neighbors and your fellow guests. There is also a half-bath on the first floor for your convenience, the door to which is almost directly across from the hall-side entrance to the small kitchen off the dining room.
We have magnificent views of the harbor and the town from our roof walk. It’s a great place for a relaxing glass of wine in the afternoon too. The entrance is on the third floor, next to room 10. A light switch will be on the wall behind you to your left, once you have gone up a couple of steps. Continue up until you come to a hatchway; push it open and you’re there! There are a couple of chaise lounges for your use. Please make sure that the hatchway is closed if you are the last person/only people on the roof walk in order to prevent flooding in the event of rain.
We provide beach towels! They are located in the small closet by the brochure racks (near the back staircase on the first floor). Please sign your name and room number when you take one out, and again when you have returned it. We ask that you shake them out and drop them in the hamper at the bottom of the stairs that lead into the dining room from the garden patio. Please don’t take them to your room.
If you want to take one last swim before leaving the island and have checked out, or if you just want to have a quick rinse off after the beach, we have an outdoor shower available for your use. It is located just under the stairs that lead from the garden patio to the dining room (to your right when you are facing the stairs).
BIKE, AUTO, AND MOPED PARKING/STREET PARKING
We have bike racks and a parking area on North Street, directly behind the Inn. To access, turn left when leaving the Inn, take a left on Easton Street, and then the first left onto North Street. Continue down North Street, almost to the end, until you come to our gray-gravel parking area and bike racks, which will be on your left. You will also notice a stone set of stairs with white wood railings to your left – this leads back up to the Inn’s rear garden area, and will be how you access your parked bike(s) or vehicle(s) during your stay. The parking area only has room for 4 vehicles but there is additional parking available on the street. Please ask for a Guest Parking Permit to put on your dashboard. Be sure to secure it if you leave your windows down- the charge for a lost pass is $100.00
