The Grasshopper Inn B&B is located in the beautiful Grasshopper Valley right off the Pioneer Mountains Scenic Byway in Southwest Montana. Nestled between the western and eastern Pioneer mountains we offer spectacular views, clean and comfortable accommodations with outside entrances, and a complimentary gourmet breakfast. Built in 1972, the Inn was originally called The Bedspread. While the previous owners operated a restaurant and bar, we do not currently offer either of those public services. We live on-site and the Inn is considered private property so please be respectful of that.

Prices & Taxes
Room rates include double occupancy and a full breakfast. Rates are quoted per night excluding 8% lodging & sales tax. Occupancy over two persons/room will incur additional per person fees. An extra adult is $20/night and an extra child (12 years and younger) is $10/night. Children 0-2: no charge.
Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed and the room may be reassigned. We will charge your credit card 72 hours before your check-in date.
Check-in/ Checkout/ Business Hours
Check-in time is between 3pm and 6pm. If you need a later check-in, please let us know. Room key(s) will be in the door(s) so you can check yourselves in. We are usually on-site to welcome you and answer any questions you might have. Please feel free to ask us for anything that would make your stay more enjoyable and convenient.
You can check-out any time up until 11AM by local time. Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are. Additional fees may apply. At check-out time please leave the key(s) in the room.
We want you to have a great time when you are here. But if things get too crazy, we go by the old-school rule of ‘you break it, you buy it’ and property damages or missing items will be charged to your credit card at market value. The hotel allows guests, with permission, to receive occasional packages and special deliveries at the property. We are not responsible for the packages or their contents or the storage of them. Sing your heart out and have passionate conversation all day long, but from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. the whole property goes into hush mode for what we like to call quiet time (or sleep time).
The Grasshopper Inn Bed & Breakfast is a smoke-free property. There is no smoking allowed in the rooms or outside on the balcony where the smoke may blow back into the rooms, towards other guests, and our family. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and any variations of the foregoing regardless of the product’s name. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a disappointed look and a $250 room cleaning fee.
Are we pet friendly? You bet! A maximum of two pets are allowed per room. There is a $25 charge per stay. While that is a low fee (especially if you have 2 Great Danes and are staying for several days), we do reserve the right to charge extra fees if your furry friend sheds a great amount or has a potty accident in the room. A cleaning fee will be charged to the credit card on file in the amount of $75. Should your pet cause property or item damage, an incidental fee will be charged at market value to your credit card on file.
Please make sure your furry friends do their business in the designated areas and stay on a leash when outside the room. No pets in the lodge or dining areas. We do allow cats, but no venomous creatures, please.
We happily welcome well-behaved children, and adults that act like children but are well-behaved. It is the guest/parent’s responsibility to supervise their children closely during their stay on our property. Parents will be charged for items broken or ruined by unsupervised children. We strive to maintain a safe environment, but with horses and dogs on-site as well as ongoing remodeling projects around the property, parents need to be aware that we are not liable for accidents and injury.
We do not hold a license to resell alcoholic beverages. Guests may bring their own.
Room Cleaning Policy
Room refreshes will not be offered during stays. Should you need fresh towels, linens, or other amenities, please notify a staff member or email email@example.com
Vacations should be stress-free and for that reason, you get to park right in front of your room (or super close). By parking a vehicle at our facility, you (and your guests) are doing so on your own accord. We do not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.
Our guest room all have outside entrances and are located on the 1st and 2nd floor. Guests must be able to access stairs to their room. No elevator or lift is available.
Owner's Rights ( a really long boring section, but important because we live on-site and this is our primary residence)
The Grasshopper Inn B&B is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s)that does not violate Federal or State laws. The Grasshopper Inn B&B has a zero tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our Inn or may remove a person, without refund, who refuses to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the State of Montana and the owners for the operation and management of this Inn. The Grasshopper Inn B&B will refuse service or evict a guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any other intoxicating substance and acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests or is not incompliance with state liquor laws; acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the Inn for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring into the Inn: an unlawfully possessed firearm; or something, including an hazardous or toxic substance, that is unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces, or threatens harm to the property or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established by The Grasshopper Inn B&B for the operation and management of our Inn.
