Surrounded by magnificent panoramic mountain views, The Burfield Hostel and The Burfield Hotel are Sun Peaks' newest multi style accommodation. The Burfield features stylish yet contemporary rooms that are perfect for a single traveler, couples, family or groups, offering everything you might need for a short or long term stay.  Our pods, rooms, and suites are fully furnished and equipped with fully stocked kitchenettes or kitchens, wi-fi, all linens and Terry, and it being one of Sun Peaks newest accommodations, you can expect the room decor to be excellent.

We are situated in a tranquil residential area, located directly across from the Burfield Chairlift and only a 25 minute walk away from the village, restaurants, shops and nightlife. Our stylish 360-degree mountain access accommodation has been designed and inspired to embrace the vibrant landscape that it surrounds. All our guests have access to our dedicated ski/wet room, with lockers, ski storage, bike storage with optimum security. We have a dedicated guest laundry for all to use while our suite guests can enjoy private in-suite laundry facilities.

Property and Cancellation Policies :
All Summer Burfield Bookings are booked as Non-refundable:
Any cancellations made from date of booking are completely non-refundable including any taxes. Summer means reservations from May 1st to November 15th. Cancellations must be emailed to The Burfield and the date will be noted as received.
  • No refunds will be made in the event of interruption or cancellation of the reservation after check-in.
  • No refunds will be given on any reservation for no-shows.
  • Please note that you are booking with the understanding that COVID-19 is a global pandemic in 2020/2021, should there be any related reservation interruptions or cancellations there will be no refunds. By making a booking with us you understand that and acknowledge that should your trip be affected in anyway due to COVID-19 you will not be guaranteed a refund.

All Winter Burfield Bookings are booked as 30 Day Non-Refundable:
The Burfield bookings will follow the below listed out Cancellation Policy Fee schedule. Winter means reservations from November 15th to April 30th. Cancellations must be emailed to The Burfield and the date will be noted as received. Depending on when the reservation is cancelled, cancellation charges will be assessed as stated on the Cancellation Fee Schedule relative to your reservations confirmed arrival date.​
  • No refunds will be made in the event of interruption or cancellation of the reservation after check-in.

31 days or more prior to arrival - 3% penalty

Therefore, any potential refunds to Third party/internal room sales that are Partially or Fully refundable bookings processed after July 1st, 2020 are subject to a 3% processing fee that will not be refunded.

All Contractual Long-Term & Block Term Reservations are booked as Non-Refundable
Reservations more than 28 nights are completely non-refundable.

Terms and Conditions

Please note that for security purposes, you may be asked to provide photographic identification at check-in. A preauthorization is required upon check in for all guests, to be made with a credit card. The amount to be preauthorized is subject to the type of room booked and varies from CAD$105 to CAD$450.

PRICES AND TAXES
All reservations are subject to GST, PSTand Municipal Taxes. 
For Long Term Reservations booked and paid for in blocks of 27 days or more at a time in the same accommodation,are Tax Exempt for PST and Municipal taxes, but must pay GST.

GUARANTEE POLICY
Reservation must be paid in full and guaranteed by a credit card at the time of booking. 

RECEPTION HOURS
Reception is open between 8am to 10am and from 3pm to 7pm each day. Guests Check-in anytime after 3pm,  please make contact with The Burfield to organise alternative check-in arrangements prior to your arrival. Accommodation fees are prepaid at time of booking and are based on a daily rate as per the website. Any queries should be directed to reservations@theburfield.com. Guests Check-out time is before 10am. Guests need to notify reservations at least two days in advance if you plan on extending your stay so that we can accommodate and is subject to availability. If you will be leaving at a time when Reception is not open, please make sure check-out arrangements have been made with a staff member prior to your departure.

AFTER HOURS CHECK-IN
Please let us know if you are arriving outside our standard check-in times at least one day before your arrival, so that arrangements can be made for your check in. For those that can’t make it during our reception hours, we understand, and have two option for you to choose from; Self-late checkin which is complimentary or Staffed-late checkin which comes with a fee of CAD$30 plus taxes. Both options require pre-arrangement with our front desk.

REGISTERED GUESTS 
Only registered paying guests are eligible to stay (names provided at start of stay). Family members and friends coming to visit will need to find alternative accommodation.

PARKING
Summer Parking:
Parking is available on-site, above ground parking is complementary and underground parking is CAD$10/night plus taxes. Reservations are required. 

Winter Parking:
Parking is available on-site, above ground premium front door above ground parking is CAD$10/night plus taxes; while underground parking is CAD$15/night plus taxes. Reservations are required. 

MINORS

Management reserves the right to refuse any minors traveling without adult supervision.

QUIET TIMES​
Quiet time is from 10 pm to 8 am. Close doors quietly, keep voices down, low music, no loitering in halls and no unregistered guests after these times. Should excessive noise occur during these hours guests are subject to a CAD$150 fine to all those associated. Repeat offenders will be removed from the premises and no money will be refunded. ​

DOOR LOCKS 
On arrival, you will be issued a unique key code for the duration of your stay. This code will open your assigned Pod. If you lose your code please inform reception immediately and a new code will be issued (subject to administration fees). Your code is used for security purposes, do not distribute your code. Your code will automatically expire at 10:00 am on the day of your departure. ​

PETS
No pets are allowed with the exception of service animals in specified rooms only. Notification prior to arrival must be given to the hotel and a health certificate obtained from a veterinarian within 10 days of arrival must be presented at check-in. CAD$50/day cleaning fee will charged.
 

SMOKING & ILLEGAL SUBSTANCES 
A smoking bay is located at the back of the property. There is to be no smoking of any kind inside the property. This includes outside areas such as the balconies & driveway. If you are found smoking you will be asked to leave & no money will be refunded. No illegal substance of any kind is to be on the premises. Same rule applies - If you are found smoking or in possession of any Illegal substance you will be asked to leave and no money will be refunded. This is due to insurance purposes as well as respect to others enjoying their stay at this property.​

DAMAGE/MISSING ITEMS/EXCESSIVE CLEANING
If pods or suites are damaged or left extremely dirty during a stay, guests will be charged the amount it costs to replace damaged item + CAD$50/hr. labor fees to return room to its original state. This includes missing/damaged remotes, bedding, towels, windows, TVs, window screens, appliances, fixtures, furniture, doors, lights, mirrors, etc. We are a small family-run business and have created a space to be enjoyed and respected. As we will do our best to serve you please return the courtesy.


COVID-19:
The Burfield complies with all BC ministry of health guidance for BC's hotel sector to prevent Covid-19 transmission but is not liable should Covid-19 be contracted in some form. We do require masks to be worn in all indoor areas of the hotel, and that if guests are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 that they immediately self isolate and inform the reception during their stay; if guests have symptoms prior to arrival they should contact the hotel and speak to the front desk as they will not be allowed to check-in. Please note that arriving guests can be assessed for symptoms of Covid-19 when they arrive at the hotel and may be subject to temperature checks and or questioned about symptoms, and might also be asked throughout their stay to sanitize or wash their hands, and use face masks in indoor spaces throughout the resort and at The Burfield. To assure the safety of our guests and staff we will not be conducting daily housekeeping services to booked hotel rooms, instead please call the front desk to request for fresh sheets or cleaning products to be delivered to you're room.

LIABILITY
​Management accepts no responsibility for personal effects lost or damages by fire or theft. Guests are liable for any damage by negligence or vandalism caused to the allocated room(s) or to The Burfield premises or property caused by you or any persons in your party (whether or not staying at the Hotel) during your stay. The Burfield reserves the right to retain guests credit card/debit card details and charge such amounts as it deems fit to compensate for any loss, damage, costs or expenses incurred or suffered by The Burfield as a result of any damage. Regardless, The Burfield further reserves the right to commence legal proceedings without notice. Additional Notes:We take pride in making sure that everything to do with your accommodation runs smoothly for the duration of your stay. We promote a non-party, peaceful atmosphere at our lodge for you to enjoy your time here at Sun Peaks.
  • Please be respectful of others staying at The Burfield.
  • Responsible use of alcohol is permitted. Any irresponsible use of alcohol will result in immediate eviction from the premises.
  • Sleeping bags are not allowed.
Any violation to the above regulations will result in immediate eviction and no refunds will be offered.The Management reserves the right to deny accommodation.
