The Mitre Hotel which was built as The Old Church Tavern in 1815, later being renamed to The Mitre Hotel in 1835. The historic building has survived two potentially disastrous bomb attacks in the last 80 years. We now have two recently refurbished bars and restaurants. Located in the heart of Manchester's vibrant city centre, The Mitre Hotel couldn't be in a better location. With Manchester Cathedral and the Arndale Shopping Centre on our doorstep you're spoilt for choice for things to see and places to go.
We are only a 5 minute walk from the MEN Arena and we have an amazing connection to CO-OP Live arena via car (approximately 15 minutes) or via tram (approximately 12 minutes). The hotel is in the centre of Manchester’s vibrant night life, across the square from the Printworks, with the Arndale Shopping Centre just a 4-minutes walk away. We are also within a 5 minute walk from all types of public transport (tram, train and bus) therefore travel around the city centre couldn't be easier.

For a flexible booking - Payment will not be made for your reservation until 3 days before arrival, if you cancel your reservation more than 3 days in advance we will not charge any fees. Any cancellations within 3 days of check-in will then fall within our non refundable policy and no date changes or refunds will be authorised.

- The Mitre Hotel offers affordable accommodation in the Manchester area. There is a restaurant/bar located downstairs that can be used by all hotel guests.
- When arriving at the Mitre Hotel, you will be greeted by a member of staff who will be able to check you in.
- Check in is from 2 pm and check out is 10:30 am the following morning. Early check-in or late check-out can be added subject to availability for a £10 fee.
- The property does not accept cash in the reception area.
