CHECK-IN & CHECK-OUT POLICIESARRIVALNo Mask No Entry Policy.Check-in time is after 2pm. If you arrive earlier, we are pleased to store your luggage until your room is ready. Early check-in depends on availability and rates are available upon request.We would appreciate for advising us if you expect to arrive after 6.00 pm. Please remember that we are running with a skeleton staff during COVID-19 pandemic and do not have a 24-hour reception (although staff are available 24 hrs. for any emergency). We have an automatic thermal scanner that will check if your temperature is normal. Otherwise, guests should voluntarily get an antigen test. If tested positive, we have to refuse entry to protect our team members and other guests. Registered guests are required to present a valid ID. Only guests registered on the reservation reserve the right to stay. A deposit of Php 500/head will be collected upon check-in. This shall be refunded upon return of key card,ac remote and if no stains or damage reported upon inspection of the room during check-out. Your allocated key card to your room and ac remote control will be handed to you upon check-in at the Front Desk. Penalty applies for losing or failing to return the items upon check-out, so just make sure you keep it safe!
DEPARTURE
Check-out is 11:00 to 11:30am. If you require later check-out, please inform the front desk before 10am on the day of departure and we will do our best to accommodate your request but we cannot guarantee. Rates apply. Php500 will be deducted from the deposit for late check outs up to 30min, 30% late check outs up to 15:00, 50%late check outs up to 17:00 and a full amount will be deducted for any time past 17:00. All security deposit will be refunded considering there is no damage or missing items reported including room key card.
CHILDREN
Children and infants may not stay in any room without an adult. Persons aged over 7 years will be charged an extra person.Extra person rates 1300PHP per night. Children below 7 years of age may stay free of charge if using existing beds and linen and not exceeding the maximum capacity of the given room type.
PETS
We are pet-friendly and welcome dogs up to 25 kilos in select rooms. Our pet policy is available upon request. Pet fee applies. There’s a faux grass for potty area available outside for them to use.
WASH AREATo help you rinse off sand and for bathing your fur babies after enjoying the beach of Urbiztondo, there’s an available water hose outside. Ask for assistance from our staff.
PAYMENT METHODS For prepaid reservations, you have to pay in advance by online bank transfer,over-the-counter-banking or e-wallet.For walk-ins, you can pay cash upon arrival.
GENERAL POLICIES
VISITORS
Due COVID-19pandemic, only registered guest are allowed on hostel premises.Roof deck lounge access is by reservation for registered hostel guests and registered visitors only from 10:00am-6:00pm, with the exception of organized Special Events, when stated accordingly. Staff will start taking your orders from 6:00pm-10:30pm.or you may visit our cafe to check our menu. (liquor corkage fees apply)
Access is prohibited during Resting Hours (2300-0600), as Shorebreak Hostel is located in an urban residential area. Please
respect the neighborhood by keeping down all kinds of noise when appropriate.
SMOKING
We do not permit smoking within our guest rooms, bathrooms, toilets, shower room and other common areas. Smoking is forbidden inside the property. Smoking inside is a 5000 PHP penalty fee. There are ample outdoor areas throughout the property away from the building where smoking is permitted.
ALCOHOL AND DRUGS
NO OUTSIDE FOOD & DRINKS ALLOWED. We servehot food in our café. Alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks are also available forpurchase. Our Vending machine isavailable 24/7 for snacks and drinks.
Illicit drugs of any kind will not be allowed or tolerated in the hostel. Guests found with any drug paraphernalia will be immediately asked to leave the hostel. Proper authorities will be called if guests are unwilling to leave. Consuming excessive amount of alcohol within the premises of the hostel is strictly prohibited.
BILLIE’S COFFEE + KITCHEN
Café is open from 7:30am-8:00pm for dine incustomers only.
DISTURBANCES
Please keep the noise down between 23:00 to 7:00 in the morning. If a guest became a public nuisance, the hostel has the right to refuse service and even call the proper authorities to escort them off the premises, if guest refuses to leave.
PARTIES
Parties are not allowed in the rooms or common areas, we have a roof deck for that :)
DAMAGES
An additional clean up fee for any extra labor incurred as a result of unreasonable mess left by a guest will be assessed and charged accordingly.Damage to rooms,fixtures and furnishing will be charged 120% of full and new replacement value. Damage to mattresses and linen including towels, mattress pads, sheets, blankets resulting from the use of body oils, make-up, shoe-polish, flat iron, etc. will result in charge for the special cleaning or replacement of the damaged item. Any damage to the hostel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any damages made to the property, interior and exterior will be charged for.
PARKING
Shorebreak Hostel has a limited number of parking spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.
VALUABLES
The Hostel is not responsible for any stolen or lost items.Forgotten things will be kept for 30 days, after that time they will be handed over to local charitable/humanitarian/ecological organizations, depended on the forgotten thing.
EVENTS BEYOND OUR CONTROL (“FORCE MAJEURE)These include but are not limited to war, threat of war, riot, civil disobedience or strife, government action, terrorist activity, natural or industrial disaster, fire, pandemics, quarantine, endemics, adverse weather conditions, level of water in rivers or floods, closure of airports and may also include industrial dispute involving third parties, technical or maintenance problems or unforeseen operational decisions of air carriers such as changes of schedule or any failure in the information technology infrastructure or failure in internet connections. Except where otherwise expressly stated in these booking conditions, we regret that we cannot accept liability where the booking could not be fulfilled or pay any compensation where the performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected by reason of such events beyond our control.
