Terms and Conditions
The Good Will Engine Company is a shared lodging space and the safety and comfort of guests and staff is our top priority. We encourage all of our guests to be fully vaccinated prior to your arrival and to take advantage of free, fast, and safe testing during your travels.
To stay with us, you must provide proof of COVID vaccination or negative PCR test result (less than 72 hours) prior to arrival. Guests may email a photo of their vaccination record or negative test result to firstname.lastname@example.org or text to 401-316-2993. If you can't provide either of these, you will be required to purchase ($20) and take a rapid test at arrival. A positive test will result in a cancellation and refund.
We are using enhanced cleaning protocols to help ensure a safe environment and encourage guests to practice good hand and cough hygiene and to wear masks in common areas. The Good Will Engine Company is not responsible for any COVID-related illness or costs that occur before, during, or after your stay with us.
We are a shared lodging where travelers meet and gather. Disruptive behavior negatively affects all guests and is never acceptable. Disrespectful, threatening or aggressive behavior toward other guests or staff will result in removal from the property without refund. Damage to any property, theft of any property, physical or sexual harassment, aggressive, loud and/or rowdy noise may result in police intervention and eviction, without refund. No person under 21 may consume alcohol on our premises. Obvious alcohol abuse, illegal drug use & any disrespectful or disruptive behavior that results from the use of any of these substances will not be tolerated. Staff or appropriate authorities may ask guests to leave the premises and no refund will be offered or honored. In the event any guest or their visitors cause damage to any property in the hostel, the management can charge any amount deemed necessary to cover the costs of cleaning, repairing or replacing the damaged item. Theft or intentional damage of property will be reported to the police.
Prices and Taxes
The Customer is obliged to pay the prices applying to or agreed on for the provision of accommodation and additional services the Customer has made use of and respectively booked. This also applies to services and expenses of the Hostel by way of third parties incurred for performances rendered upon the Customer’s request. Our prices fluctuate due to our occupancy and the type of room and size of bed you book. The prices agreed include the applicable taxes.
Payment and Terms at Check-in, Check-out
The total amount, less potential deposits, as detailed in an itemized bill, is due upon arrival unless otherwise arranged beforehand.
Check in is between 3:00pm and 10:00 pm, if you will be arriving before or later than this time you must request approval with our front desk through phone or email. Check out is no later than 11:00 am. If you fail to vacate your room by check out time we have the right to charge a full day rate and tax.
There is a 48 hour cancellation policy for single reservations. To receive a full refund you must call or email before 3 pm two days before your reservation is scheduled. If your reservation is for 5 people or more you must cancel 30 days before your arrival to receive a 50 % refund.
Traveling with Minors
You must be 21 or over to check in. Minors may stay when accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Accessibility or Special Needs
Our first floor cafe is handicap accessible. We have one bedroom on the ground level that is handicap accessible. Unfortunately, we do not have elevators in our building.
There are limited parking spots available upon request. The Good Will Engine Company is not liable for any stolen or damaged property. Please be mindful of your surroundings, this is a city. Hide valuables and take necessary precautions.
We like to have fun! We often have the occasional concert, poetry slam or game night. Sometimes our shows have a cover charge. If something interests you let us know and we will get you a discounted price!
We are a unique establishment with shared rooms and common areas. If there is any conflict you experience with a guest or staff member we encourage you to bring it to management's attention immediately and we use our best judgement to resolve and defuse the situation.
Common Area Courtesy
In our shared lodging environment, every area can be considered a common area except for private rooms. Guests are not allowed to enter a room that is not assigned to them. We understand you may make friends and want to hang out together. Please use our comfortable community areas in the living room, kitchen or downstairs cafe and bar.
Leave no trace - it is required, expected and mandatory to clean up after yourself when using all common areas including the kitchen, bathroom and shower area.
We have a 10:00 pm quiet policy. If you are in a shared bunk room, please do not hold conversations with your neighbors or talk on phones in your rooms past this time and try to refrain from turning on your bedroom light to avoid disturbing sleeping roommates. If you are in a private room, please keep voices low and be respectful of your neighbors. Please take advantage of the downstairs cafe and common areas for relaxed social gathering after quiet hours.
Use of Personal information
We don’t do it. We take necessary precautions to secure your privacy and it is prohibited for our staff to share any detailed information that is on your reservation with any third party that is not traveling with you.
